Page 1

ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA Project Profile: Road Infrastructure Rehabilitation This project will rehabilitate 8.7 km of major road to improve safety, capacity and drainage along the Sir George Walter Highway and the Friars Hill Road. These roads are used daily by 75% of the population and the upgrade will provide a major boost to commercial and economic activity on the island. The project will also strengthen the institutional capacity of the Ministry of Works and Housing (MOWH) by upgrading the materials laboratory, and it will address gender equality through sensitisation training for staff at the MOWH, other partner ministries and contractors.
