Essex Valley Agricultural Development This project will enhance production and productivity, and improve market access for farmers in Essex Valley. Approximately 700 hectares of arable lands will be outfitted with a modern irrigation system powered by renewable energy (photovoltaic system). An estimated 700 farmers targeted under the project will also benefit from investments in climate resilient road and drainage systems, internationally certified post-harvest handling and packhouse facilities and systems, and capacity building in climate smart agriculture.
