CFMC UPDATES

I love my home and am proud of those who value and want the best for it. I have no patience for those that take our resources for granted and mistreat them,” Ruth emphasized.

Ruth is already retired, and when not involved in fishery matters, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and enjoys her collection of orchids. Her commitment with the fishing sector continues in all of the entities that she participates in.

“My retirement from government service in 2019 affords me more time to stand unfiltered alongside the fishermen of the STT/STJ district in their fight to find that delicate balance between a sustainable fishery and maintaining their trade. The access to a consistent food supply is a basic human right. Simply put… Knowledge is power and I love a good challenge,” Ruth stated.
