FR/AS is the abbreviation used for Flame Retardant and Anti-Static products. Both Brahma and Caribee have developed FR/AS jackets, vests, backpacks and hydration packs specifically for people working in hazardous environments where these features are essential. These situations include and are not limited to the following hazards: Electric Arc (electricians, electric utility lineman, etc.), Flash Fire (mining, refinery, chemical and pharmaceutical workers, etc.) Combustible Dust Explosion (workers in the paper and pulp industry, food processing, paint, and many more industries), plus ANY workers who come in contact with energized electrical equipment. Brahma’s range of lightweight rainwear incorporates the two most important requirements of any waterproof garment, that being 100% waterproof and material breathability. All Brahma waterproof garments utilise a PU coated waterproof shell material and all sewn seams are tape sealed to ensure you stay dry in the wettest conditions. Breathability is the ability of a fabric to allow moisture vapor to be transmitted through the material. The driving force is the difference in the level of heat and humidity on one side of the material compared to the other side. Due to body heat and moisture there is almost always higher heat and humidity inside clothing, especially in a workwear scenario. This creates a differential pressure forcing the heat and humidity toward the outside of the fabric and if a garment is not breathable, this will cause a vast increased in moisture. Both the Brahma Storm and Typhoon rainwear garments have been designed and constructed using the latest breathable materials to ensure that you are not only protected from the rain on the outside, but the moisture and humidity on the inside. A unique feature of the Brahma Typhoon waterproof coat and trousers is it’s breathable “Super Soft” top coated PU material. This unique material is super soft to touch and highly flexible to stretch whist retaining its original shape. This material not only improves the comfort, mobility and flexibility for the user, but it is also 100% waterproof and highly breathable making it the number one choice of premium lightweight rainwear.

As a supplier to leading industries, our range of high visibility hydration packs, such as the popular Nuke 3L and Hi Vis Flow 2L are made from Australian Standards Approved high visibility materials, incorporate reflective tape and include high performance 3L or 2L reservoirs to ensure they perform in extreme conditions. This knowledge passes on to our recreational range of hydration packs, that are now exclusively available with a premium 2L reservoir to ensure your outdoor adventures can be enjoyed to the full. There is a Caribee hydration pack to suit your every need.

Poor hydration lasts for 36 hours Hydration is an essential part of fitness and wellbeing. Any dehydration is serious as it will take 24 to 36 hours to recover from the effects, and thatâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s considering that the fluids are replaced. Your body is 60-65% water, a 1% loss of water will begin to reduce your performance. From 2% on the body will no longer be able to regulate heat and there will be a loss of strength and general endurance. 3% dehydration reduces muscular endurance and increases physical and mental fatigue. At greater than 6% dehydration can lead to extreme health issues and even death. Caribee hydration packs have been developed to be utilised with outdoor, sports and in industry scenarios and all packs are supplied with a pre-installed 2L or 3L reservoir.

What we call waist packs are known as fanny packs in the USA. The name fanny pack is derived from the fact that they were traditionally worn facing the rear above the buttocks, for which “fanny” is a slang term in the United States.
