LOCATION: On the north eastern coast of the island of Crete and only 1km away from the village of Elounda, and 50 minutes from the airport.
ACCOMMODATION: Accommodation comprises of 10 Deluxe Suites, five Pool suites and 18 villas, all with glorious sea views, air conditioning, an LCD TV, iPod dock, DVD player, tea/coffee making facilities, mini bar, in-room safe and complimentary WiFi. The Pool Suites have a private pool and massage room, the Deluxe Suites are close to the main pool while the villas offer up to four bedrooms, a private pool with Jacuzzi and a fully-equipped kitchen, with a chef available on request. The spa pool villas are even more indulgent, with a private fitness room, sauna and steam bath.
RESTAURANTS & BARS: The Argo restaurant, named after the ship that bore Jason across the waves in Greek mythology, will take you on a culinary voyage around Greece and the Mediterranean, with a host of authentic Cretan treats adding a touch of local flavour. Daphni is open for dinner only, with beautiful sea views and an extensive wine list. You can also dine in your suite or villa, and the Argo Lounge Bar is open throughout the day and into the night for refreshing juices, cocktails and chilled tunes.
FACILITIES: There is a salt-water pool with a Jacuzzi and children’s paddling pool, and a complimentary shuttle whisks you to the hotel’s Private Beach Club, just a 10-minute drive away. The Elixir Spa Gallery features a sauna, hammam, massage room, outdoor Jacuzzi and gym, and a host of activities are available in the local area, including golf, tennis and a varied array of watersports. The Cool Creche looks after tots aged 4 months-4 yrs, while the Cool Kids’ Club arranges activities including swimming lessons, movie nights and discos for kids aged 4-12 yrs. The hotel also has a great selection of baby equipment available, including monitors, nappies and car seats, allowing you to pack light.
