ACCOMMODATION: 272 rooms, suites and one villa carefully redesigned and redecorated, all sea or river facing and completely refurbished with multiple options for families including inter-connecting options. The two Presidential Suites are stretched over two storeys and boast a private sauna, large terrace and whirlpool overlooking Turtle Bay. The spacious, private villa is ideal for families with a wide terrace, garden and exclusive plunge pool, sleeping up to four adults and two children. RESTAURANTS & BARS: Seven dining options include the beautifully presented buffets at Belle Vue and sizzling Asian fusion dishes at Le Banyan. Château Mon Désir offers an elegant, colonial à la carte fine dining option overlooking the historic ruins of Balaclava. If you don’t want to stray too far from your sun lounger, then La Marée, located right on the beach, is perfect for a snack or laid-back lunch, and is also a seafood venue in the evenings with regular beach bonfire nights. The new Anno 1743 is an elegant brasserie style restaurant set inside historical ruins offering rustic cuisine complimented by an industrial chic décor.

FACILITIES: Located at Turtle Bay, the first Marine National Park in Mauritius, this resort is a haven for watersports, including complimentary windsurfing, snorkelling, kayaking, sailing, pedal boats, paddleboarding and glass bottom boat trips. It’s also a great destination for families, with an Equestrian Centre housing 10 horses and ponies, and the option of lessons for ages 6 yrs and up; you can even go riding along the beach which is a very special experience. There are also two floodlit tennis courts, a gym, PADI dive centre, mini golf, nine-hole golf course with unlimited complimentary green fees and the fabulous Tropical Flower Spa with twelve treatment rooms, saunas, steam room and whirlpool. The little ones will benefit from a completely new mini club with a splash pool including a mushroom feature. Located near the beach, it also offers a large veranda and an outdoor playground, an indoor air-conditioned play area and multiple supervised activities.
