RuffNote Convertible puts the flexibility of a tablet computer with the power of a notebook computer . Featuring a 10.4" or 12.1" LCD screen, light weight design and 180° rotatable screen, it can transform from a notebook into a tablet computer and vice versa. This RuffNote includes a variety of ruggedized features that make RuffNote Convertible ideal for outdoor, vehicular or tough environment use. It has been designed and tested around MIL-SPEC 810F, which ensures stability in any field-use and mobile application, while being lightweight at the same time ensuring high portability at only 2.2 kg weight. Built to military standards and fully weather sealed against cold, heat, rain, dust and humidity. It is housed in a magnesium alloy case with Hand Strap and emphasizes on the fan-less design. The removeable hard drive is shielded by a protection mechanism to prevent damage during operation. It also complies with IP65 standard thus RuffNote Convertible easily operates in harsh environments. This machine is extremely high performance with the lower power consumption Intel® Core™ 2 Duo 1.2 GHz processor, 1GB RAM and a 120 GB hard drive.

The RuffBook Tech incorporates the latest Intel advancements in mobile and wireless technology. The RuffBook Tech has a spill proof keyboard, and a magnesium alloy casing which protects against vibration and drops. Screen options include a standard 14.1” non-glare TFT XGA (1024x768) or optional 13.3” WXGA (1280x800) Wide screen and 224MB shared Video RAM that provides for vibrant images. For direct sunlight applications, an optional sunlight viewable display and a touch screen option is also available. The waterproof TDS Recon weighs just 17 ounces, meets military specifications for drops, vibration, and both high and low temperature operation, and runs Windows Mobile 6.0 software for Pocket PCs. The TDS Recon works wherever and whenever you need it. Ultra rugged The TDS Recon can handle the toughest field conditions. It meets MIL-STD-810F standards for drops, vibration and temperature extremes, and it has an IP67 rating—meaning it's impervious to dust and water immersion.

High performance The TDS Recon features the high-performance 200 MHz or 400 MHz XScale processor, a color display with front light, 64 MB of RAM and 64 or 128 MB of nonvolatile Flash storage to protect data from resets or power loss. Expansion capabilities The TDS Recon can expand with your needs. It has two CompactFlash slots so you can add memory or optional peripheral devices.
