What You Need To Know About The Every Woman’s Life Program
The Every Woman’s Life program helps low-income, uninsured women between the ages of 18-64.
What services are covered?
The Every Woman’s Life program will pay for:
•Your clinic visit (including showing you how to examine your breasts);
•Breast and cervical screening exams; and
•Some extra tests, if your screening exams shows that more information is needed.

What screening exams are provided?
The following four exams are performed by a doctor or nurse:
•Clinical Breast Exam
Your doctor or nurse will look at your breasts and feel for any lumps or other problems. This is an important exam, and should be done every year. This is a good time to tell your doctor or nurse if you are having any problems.
•Mammogram
A mammogram is an x-ray of your breast. Mammograms are very safe, and should be done every year if you are over age 40.
•Pelvic Exam
A pelvic exam is when your doctor or nurse will feel your female organs from the inside. You should have a pelvic exam every year.
•Pap Test
Your doctor or nurse will look at your cervix during the pelvic exam and take some cells. The cells will be sent to a lab to be tested.
