Continued from page 1 Support for the business community has been coming in as well, Deputy Chairman, Garfield Callender recently accepted a donation of paint supplies from local manufacturer, Harris Paints. These will be put to use in prepping the base camp at the Lester Vaughan School in Saint Thomas. Other entities on board with the camp include the Future Centre Trust which is a major partner for the residential project. This year’s project is focused on the overall theme for CASC ‘Journey to A Greener Barbados’ and will measure impact of garbage disposal on the local environment. The planning committee continues regular meetings to review details. The excitement is really building as numbers are confirmed. It’s going to be a combination of gullies and Participants of CASC 2013 are asked to note that there will be a clothing drive during the camp. Items collected will be donated to a local organisation which assist persons in need. All contingents are reminded to submit their flight details to the Barbados office at deabarbados@caribsurf.com. You are also asked to review the standing orders and equipment list.

On the trails It was a wet weekend when the group from Combermere set out for their qualifying hike. Slipping and sliding all the way to the end, they had a great time.
On the other hand it was clear skies for the Queen’s College as they marched from Paragon to Bayleys and onto St. John.
Leading up to CASC 2013 four participants crossed several parishes on their preliminary venture. Meanwhile Graydon Sealy’s cadets were up to the task for their silver qualifying.
