Obituary David Blocker was proceeded in death by his parent’s Alice and Henry Gordon Sr. He was born on December 30. 1952 and raised in Detroit Michigan where he attended Detroit Public Schools. David retired from the Chrysler Corporation beginning at the Jefferson North Assembly Plant (JNAP) as a member of UAW Local 7 and ending his career at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant UAW Local 1700. David absolutely loved his city and the members of his community. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand. After retirement David dedicated his life to helping others. He was Uber, before Uber became Uber. Through rain, sleet or snow, he was on the go…. David would transport whoever, whenever they needed a ride. He loved working with seniors. He would awake early in the morning and continue late into the night to provide transportation services to help people get to their doctor’s appointments, grocery stores, work or any place around town. David was affectionately known as Bay Brother to his 6 siblings Doris (Danny) Barnes, Joyce (Al) Shaw, Christine Wilson, Martha Martin, Henry (Vickie) Gordon Jr. and Charlene Smith who will miss his kind heart. But to his nieces and nephews whom he adored, he was Uncle Bruh. He had 8 nieces and 2 nephews, Tena Jordan, LaNeice Evans, Carla Jordan, Danielle Barnes, Courtney Martin, James Wilson III, Ashley (Raphael) Washington II, Andrea Gordon, Mark Smith Jr. and Alicia Smith. He will always be remembered for his hearty laughter, playful attitude and warm smile. Overtime Uncle Bruh became affectionately known as Uncle David to his 4 great nieces and 7 great nephews; Erika, Jazzmin, Ernest, Jonathan, Cameron, Mikel, Keith, Raphael III, Jaiden, Nova and Christian. He was generous and will be forever missed.

Remember Me Don't remember me with sadness, Don't remember with tears, Remember all the laughter, We've shared throughout the years. Now I am contented That my life it was worthwhile, Knowing that I passed along the way I made somebody smile When you are walking down the street And you've got me on your mind I'm walking in your footsteps Only half a step behind. So please don't be unhappy Just because I'm out of sight, Remember that I'm with you Each morning, noon and night.
On Angel's Wings On Angel's Wings you were taken away, But in my heart you will always stay. I will hear your whisper in the tallest trees, Feel your love in the gentle breeze. And when I find I miss you the most, Inside our beautiful memories I will hold you close. You are an angel watching over me with the comfort and blessings you bring, you embrace my heart and hold it close, Forever on Angel's Wings. ~ Crailin Hardy Author
