001./ SCHOOL OF ARTS Building by emptying Development of a new School of Arts in a forgotten plot in Valencia. The importance of the public space and its relationship appears as a first thought in order to generate city, t. The second thought has to do with organization and new learning methods. The project strategy is based on three elements. The first one, the strict organization on the floor plan that could not be understood without the section; the second one, the fundamental role that the public space takes. And finally the importance of the natural light.

002./ HOUSING IN VELLUTERS Perspective
Detail This residential development is spread over two building plots in the Velluters neighborhood close to the center of Valencia. The project is part of a wider regeneration scheme for the area. It is a mixed-use proposal, local offices, and housing. The ground floor is reserved for the small shops that will serve the neighborhood. On the crowded front is located the volume for the offices, becoming the highest one due to its importance, and letting the peaceful zones for the apartment buildings.
Second floor plant
The proposal aims to unify the area by the pĂşblic space, its materiality, and its proportion. Opens up two gardens in the interior of the plots to which the served areas overturn. Besides that, the serving areas generate a filter to achieve the required privacy between the street and the living spaces.

The façade is completely modulated by the aluminum panels. The perforated folding ones are used in the openings to give privacy given the short distance between buildings. Towards the inside, the façade is treated in a different way. The facades are all covered with folding panels, which act as a filter giving the user the opportunity to open the house to the outside.

Axonometry
Planning The narrow gap is located in the district of El Carmen, the heart of Valencia. The proposal develops a student residence, with kitchen, common rooms, library... Due to the difficulty of the site, it was necessary to think the space mostly in section, thus creating multiple connections between all directions. The façade has a concrete treatment that provides the volume the elegance of the surrounding buildings and homogenizes the view from the outside. It is intended to play with the apertures of the façade, to identify the public and private spaces generating a natural interest in the building. The main entrance creates a place/square of connection with the street acting as a filter, providing a space to share with the city.

004./ SECOND HAND Competition Cultivation of rice in the Albufera of Valencia generates a dynamic landscape in constant evolution that redesigns itself again and again over the course of months. Land, water, and cultivation are the lead characters depending on the time of year. It is a place that turns you in part of a natural process, an evolution. The intervention in a former warehouse located between the fields of cultivation fields looks for the immersion in the place, experience with the history, a look at the past, the present and the future.
The operation consists of adhering a volume with the same character and proportion. It generates a dialogue between the new and the existing. This volume can embrace part of the of the outside, acting as a filter and sifting through privacy. The the limit is not clear, while the enclose sticks you on a cozy scale, the horizon abstracts you to the farthest. It is an exercise of minimums, where a discreet house is configured to focus the protagonism to the outside, to the place, to the moment, and that turns you a witness of the time.

November, 18, 2019 Mr. Salvador Jose Sanchis Gisbert Dr. Architect Valencia
Mr. Salvador Jose Sanchis Gisbert, Doctor in Architecture, Professor of Architectural Projects at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Jury of the Master of Architecture Final Project and Co-Founder of Peris y Sanchis Arquitectos. I NOTE
The architect Mr. Carles GarcĂa Somolinos, who graduated from the Superior Technical School of Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Valencia in the year 2019, studied his Architectural Projects studies at the Architectural Project Workshop, with excellent results. Mr. Carles GarcĂa stood out as a capable and independent student with great sensibility and thoughtfulness, not only for his analysis of reality but also for his rigorous sense of creativity. His personal empathy, his language abilities (including Spanish, English, Catalan, and German) and his strong computer skills (which specialize in Autocad, Revit, Image+Photoshop, Architrave, etc.) must be strongly remarked. I have also had the chance to know his work as an exchange student at the RWTH University of Aachen (Germany, 2016/2017) , as well as the particular satisfaction of his professors abroad. I have been closely following his progress and have seen how his projects and architectural works have evolved, and I am therefore in a good position to judge his capability and professional skills. His innovative character and his important research components are characteristics to seriously take into account.
And for this to be stated and take effect, I sign the present letter in Valencia on the date of 18th November 2019.
