VREDENBURG HOSPITAL Between 2015-2019 I worked at Wolff Architects in Cape Town. This project is a major addition to a provincial hospital. The design focuses on a repetitive roofing module with skylights which create naturally lit corridors and spaces. Services are housed in a continuous service shaft which branch into the various parts of the building, making access easy and continuation of the building possible. New works include admissions, central space, paediatric ward, theatres, support services, administration building and staff residences. LOCATION

CHERÉ BOTHA SCHOOL This school for learners with special educational needs focuses on integrative spaces, soft volumes and indirect natural lighting. The classrooms are bridged by A-frame courtyard spaces which provide shared play and learning spaces. A central hall and a number of workshops further and exaggerate this language, tying the school functionally and visually together to become a landmark in its context.

GALERIE SEIPPEL This art foundation required a refurbished ground floor art gallery and front façade, while also wanting to add an inhabitable gallery on the roof. The roof top addition, the focal point of the project, sets itself within the tight physical parameters of context and regulations while managing to establish itself as a new intervention. This building remains unbuilt.
