UFC Fight Raylon Oehlers I Review Last Saturday, the fifth of March, was the showdown between Mcgregor vs Diaz. For Mcgregor to be able to have this fight he needed to go up in weight to fight Nate Diaz who competes in the light weight devision but also in the welter weight. The fight started with Mcgregor leading the fight. He was able to put a lot of punches on the body of Diaz. The first round clearly went to Mcgregor. Mcgregor was even able to hit him right above the right eye which made the eye bleed. But even so Diaz was also able to land a lot of good punches on Mcgregor and although the round went to

Mcgregor in my opinion Diaz wasn’t looking to tired.

The second round started with both of them testing each other to try and measure how tired they both were. In the first minutes of the second round Mcgregor was able to control the fight. Diaz was getting more hits than dealing them. It was in the last two minutes that

3

Mcgregor gave the fight away. Diaz was able to land a good punch on Mcgregor, after that he was able to take back the fight and was able to finish the fight by submission.

All with all Mcgregor was leading the fight in both the first and the second round. Mcgregor said in a intervieuw after the fight ‘’ I won’t make any excuses, he won the fight because he knew to keep calm as were I panicked.’’ In my opinion Mcgregor could won the fight if he didn’t tapped out during the submission.

Interview with a football player Rochardjio Hoogstam I Interview The purpose of my interview with R. Bel was getting some insights in the life of a football player, the subjects that come forward in the interview are personal questions, but also things about his football club and career. R. Bel is an 20 year old boy and he is playing football since he was 4/5 years old. He is now playing for the football club Jos Watergraafsmeer, in the East of Amsterdam. Football Clubs His career all started at a local club named SC Orient when he was 4 years old. That club turned out to be taking over by an other

club, so he left for a club name DWS. He experienced the time of his life at that club, he played against AFC Ajax and other big clubs. R. Bel played from the youth academy to the first team, where it all started to go bad. The youth teams played in very high divisions, but the first team relegated in the years the youth teams promoted. Eventually he couldn’t play for the youth teams anymore, so he was forced to play in the first. That is when he left DWS for ‘a Moroccan club’ name Chabab. Where he also didn’t have the time of his life, it was a very different environment then he was used to. ‘They were always praying, almost every hour and…. I didn’t ahah’. After 1 year he left Chabab for his

5

current club: Jos Watergraafsmeer. Jos Watergraafsmeer Jos Watergraafsmeer is again a very different environment then Chabab; ‘they are only thinking about drinking beer and partying all night’. They are playing a division lower then Chabab, but he is starting to get the feeling back of football. His first week at the club wasn’t a good memory for him, they played a game and he lost that game. The game was to hit the crossbar with the ball, whoever hits it last have to pay for all the drinks after the training. Personal Life A very big fan of the Italian football club Juventus, working at a telecom store Tele2 and studying

‘Commerciele Economie’ at the HvA. He is combining all that together but it doesn’t always work out for him. For football he is training on the Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursday and every Sunday he has a game. He prefers playing football above studying, his ambition lays there. At Tele2 he is working 16 hours a week based on his contract, but sometimes it’s more. Ambition His ambition still is to become a professional football player, although he now is a semiprofessional player. He wants to keep going, the competition can be tuff at his new club. Sometimes he has some pressure from his trainer, but that

6

only motivates him more and more.

What to do with 15 million euro? Buy a horse! Totilas is the Dutch dressage legend, along with his rider Edward Gal they won several titles. The owner of the black stallion, Cees Visser, sold Totilas to Germany for an amount of 10 till 15 million euro. It was the most expensive horse ever, but was he really worth it?

Performance When the stallion came to Germany, he was used for breeding. The stud fee was â‚Ź8.000,- at that moment.

Totilas had again an injury and after visiting the vet,

Edward Gal and Totilas were riding on the highest level and won almost everything. Matthias had to train a lot to go on with the expatiations of the public. At the begin of 2011 their first competition was planned, at the last moment they cancelled it because of a hoof injury. June was the next competition in the agenda. At the end of 2011 Totilas had some injuries again. In 2012 he had a long-term injury. Two years later they shown up again. They were selected for the World Championships.

the owners decide that, from that moment, he will just only breed.

Retirement Tuesday 18 August 2015, Paul SchockemĂśhle and the co-owners communicated through the German Equestrian Federation that the horse would be retired from

competition sport. They reported it as follows: "As has already become known through many sources, Totilas was diagnosed with periostitis last weekend. Because of this new injury we have mutually decided to retire him from active competition sport. Totilas will not return to competition sport in the future."

French Football Competition If there is a French football club with history, it’s Olympique Lyonnais. Nowadays you will only hear things about Paris Saint Germain, that’s because the last 4 years they have won the Ligue 1

(French competition) from 20112012 to 2014-2015, 4 times in a row. They will probably win the title again this year, PSG now has an 30 points lead from the number 2 of the league.

Olympique Lyonnais Before Paris Saint Germain, also known as PSG, became this popular, Olympique Lyonnais was the biggest team in France. Lyon was nationally established in 1950. They won the title 7

11

times in a row, from 20002001 to 2006-2007. Lyon had big players like Juninho, Benzema and Sony Anderson in that period. The big players from this time are Lacazette, Fekir, Gonalons, Umtiti and the goalkeeper Lopes. My story You would probably think that I became a fan of Lyon in the period of success, but it’s totally the opposites. In 2008 I started to learn more about Olympique Lyonnais (the last time they won the title was in 2007). I specifically followed a Brazilian player called Michel Bastos, I only watched the games because he was playing. Always rooting for him to score or else I wouldn’t celebrate a goal. Why did I followed him? That’s because when I was playing football on the streets, people would

always compare me with him, so I got curious.. An Olympique Lyonnais fan in the making The day that Michel Bastos left Lyon, was the day everything changed for me. I started to realize it wasn’t only Bastos who made me happy and want me to watch the games, it was the whole team. Every game they won got me very happy and the games that were lost ruined my day. From the year that Michel Bastos left (2010) I’ve watched every Lyon game and I will probably watch many more.

5 Good reasons why you should exercise Everyone got a reason to move or exercise. Whether it is to get a six pack, big arms or strong legs. Exercising daily will give you a better health and condition. And that will only take a half hour of your day. Below there are five good reasons why you should exercise.

1.Exercising improves your mood, self-condition and creativity Exercising improves your

mood. A half an hour of exercising and your body starts to create endorphins. Endorphins create a feeling of euphoria. This is called a runners high by professional athletes. According to a study in the journal Frontiers in Neuroscience exercising improves creativity. This study showed that regular exercisers scored better on creativity tests than non-exercising people. And that because of a increased self-confidence physically and mentally.

2.Exercising daily

16

can promote sleep and health resistance This daily movement will promote your sleep. During your sleep your muscles will be repaired and your organs will are re-fed with fresh fuel. And the resistance will improve because your body will create a good defense mechanism. Outdoor sports is a good way to create a strong resistance faster.

3.Exercising can reduce aging and is good for the heart and lungs Strength training promotes a piece of DNA in the muscles and that will keep your muscles young. And the bones will

adapt to the demands that are placed on them. This adaptability is for everyone, from young to old. Also the risk of cardiovascular disease is reduced. You will hold the right blood pressure levels and cholesterol levels.

4.Exercising reduces the stress hormones Stress results in production of the cortisol. A Cortisol plays an important role in the growth of cells. Too much cortisol can lead to obesity. Stress can have psychological consequences like a deep depression or a burnout. When you are exercising your body will handle the stress hormones. This will reduce the risk of obesity, depression or burnouts.

5.Exercising can provide new social contacts

(REF)

sports club which will create a good spirit. There is a great chance that you will motivate each other and will learn from each other. This will provide more fun while exercising. 18

Should you use BCAA’s? Yes you SHOULD!! May it be that you’re a hardcore bodybuilder or a person who just wants to do something other than sitting all day, you should consider using BCAA’S. BCAA’S have shown in different research to be useful for not only gaining muscle but also for losing fat. But why? How BCAA’S work is quite easy. They help stimulate new muscle tissue by helping your body switch on the protein synthesis process. Secondly they also provide the building blocks for your body to make new muscle tissue. So that’s a win-win situation.

Are you sure? Different studies have shown that the use of BCAA’S had a positive effect on muscle growth and there for is a useful supplementation for either weight loss or fat loss. If you are wondering why for fat loss, simply put the more muscle mass you have the more kcal(‘’energy’’) your body uses over the day which makes it harder to put on fat(which is stored ‘’energy’’). A study used by Reflex Nutrition concluded that “together with the BCAA-induced enlargement in p70S6k phosphorylation, provide

19

additional support for the view that BCAA has an anabolic effect on human skeletal muscle, an effect that appears to be similar in resting and exercising human muscle.” (Philips, 2015) Another study used they used showed that the use of BCAA’S also helped in reducing fat mass and helped the growth of muscle mass. “Ingestion of a supplement containing BCAAs while following an 8-week resistance training program resulted in a greater decrease in percent body fat, an increase in lean mass, and 10-RM strength gains on the bench press and squat vs. ingestion of a whey supplement or a sports drink.” (Philips, 2015) The use of BCAA’S also helps met endurance; it increases the level of Serotonin which tells your body you’re tired due to fatigue.

Recap So, is using BCAA something you should do as a person who just sport to be fit or as a bodybuilder? Yes, you should! It doesn’t only help you build muscle tissue it also gives your body a signal to start the protein synthesis process.
