T
he city of New York, which represents the paradigma of the “metropolitan city”, can be read as a set of boundaries (of a different entity and scale) following a grid, to ease and promote speculative activities and reach maximum control of the territory.
whose nature has a special and protective peculiarity that gives coherence to the project. It is conceived as a greenhouse where the ecosystem can develop, with just a subtle human supervision. It represents the cycle of the natural ecosystem as an exchange between nature and man: the man supports the development of nature and the nature contributes to his wellness. It is a place for meeting, learning and sharing through nature: this starts from from occasional events (music, art exhibitions, theatre, cinema and fashion) attracting visitors and letting them take part to the nature development process. Natural resources such as sunlight, minerals and water are used for the process as well as the organic materials produced by the park . The aim is to hold (protect) the delicate ecosystem of the park, working (closely) with the Central Park Conservancy, in order to create a new space of experimentation,that can raise awareness of the native flora and fauna.
This system defines microcosm that are always independent among themselves, responding solely to an outside-inside interaction. The proposal responds to this phenomenon adapting its shape to the Manhattan block configuration, generating an interaction with both external and internal agents. The park ecosystem is respected, being the project quietly inserted in it. Moreover it consists in a “borderless limit” because of its permeability. It can never be closed. The spatial organization is inspired by the Lenape village, a native american tribe who used to live in this area. The pavillon is situated in Great Hill, the highest part of the park,

MENO DI TRENTUNO Competition for a caretaker house in Bologna, Italy 5TH YEAR DIPLOMA PROJECT
T
he Belpoggio-Baciocchi villa, built in the middle of the XVII century by the will of the notary Gregorio Vecchi, is located in the hilly area south of Bologna,in the middle of a 2,5 hectares park. The villa, recently bought by the entrepreneur Isabella Seragnoli, president of the foundation MAST and COESIA, is currently being renovated to be converted in a eating disorders treatment centre. The call regarded the construction of a house for hosting the guardian and his family. It was required to design an 80 square meters house with a 16 square meters storage room. The project should have included a living room with separated or annexed kitchen, two rooms and two bathrooms, for an overall total maximum cost of â‚Ź 200.000. The assigned construction area was located west of the villa, on a soil with a 15 % of 98 square meters. Our intervention wants to achieve enhancement and control of the landscape. The insertion of wall elements was aimed to redefine and recompose the perceptive space of the park. Due to the reduced extension of the construction area and the presence of a strong slope I opted for a three floor solution. I designed the storage room on the ground floor, in order to facilitate loading operations. Right above there is the living room, where a large is oriented towards the gate of the park, The last floor is the sleeping area, with the main room , allowing a great view of the hills west of the house. A visitor would be able to briefly spot

the house passing through the entrance gate. Proceeding towards the villa, the guardian’s house will gradually disappear, leaving space to the concrete wall, where shapes of trees are casted like pictures on a canvas. Besides its use of vertical communication and house protection, this double wall represents a real element of interaction with the park and control of the landscape. Concealing and at the same time allowing the view, these wall elements gradually become the centre of our project, suggesting and connecting new paths also for causal visitors of the park, stealing the show from the house, which eventually seems casually hanging on them.

he city of Gorizia is going to be one of the crucial points of “Corridor 5”, a multimodal net of arterial roads, part of the railways and higways axis planned by the European Union. This project will connect Lisbon and Kiev, giving Gorizia a strategic role in this massive reform in freight and people transport. Our intervention wants to create a new productive district, characterized by a high enviromental standard, which will, in the future, serve as a hub capable of conveying and optimizing the now fragmented industrial areas spread in the Province of Gorizia and the near Slovenia.

LIVING THE HILL high density housing in Gorizia, Italy COMPETITION
T
his project will take place in the city of Gorizia, more precisely on San Gabriele street, close to the border between Italy and Slovenia. The intervention consists of locating 48 high_density houses, divided into six different modules, from the minimum size of 53 sq m (for 2 persons) to the maximum of 114 sq m (for 4/5 persons). The south-oriented side of the houses will be completely windowed, while the north one will be covered in grass with just one wide window looking to the mountains. In this way we will gain a most concealing effect, lowering the visual impact of the houses and sort of mixing them with the vegetation. In the inner part, for reaching a better solar lighting, the houses will have the living area on the first floor, while the sleeping area will be located on the ground floor.

KLIMAFLOR a new air conditioner system 5TH YEAR DIPLOMA PROJECT
K
limaflor intends to redesign one of the most common and less valued elements in our houses: the air conditioning central system. Due to its considerable volume it is usually installed on balconies: its external appearance has never really being taken into account as a part of the urban landscape. With our project we want to give value to this common house element improving its appearance and renewing its functions. For instance, the system will no longer be installed on a wall, but on the ground, becoming a stand to hang vases or hang out the laundry. The vases are available in four different sizes and they can be hung to the aeration grid of the system whilst the two drying racks are telescopic. The buyer is then completely free to configure “klimaflor� according to his/her personal needs.

he project of the Chinatrust Tower, which dates back to 2012, is localized in the city of Taichung in Taiwan, it is a 32 stories skyscraper and, when realized, it will host the offices of the Chinatrust Bank. My tasks in this project were: updating the technicals of the several floors and realising the technicals drawings of the glazing and the patterns in the facade.

H
hafen city is an area of the city of Hamburg. The project of the EMBT studio, whose construction started in 2002, consists of an intervention of urban regeneration. I was involved in this project during the whole internship period. For this project I had to update the technical drawings of the different parts of the projects, realize technical drawings of the ramps, the stairs and the railings.

his competition required to develop a concept for a multi use complex on Moscow’s Sofiyskaya Embankment. I had the opportunity to be involved in all the stages of the project, from the very beginning of the design phase to the presentation. The tasks I had to solve during this competition ranged from the realization of CAD and 3d drawings to the production of renderings and photomontages.

T
he site is located in Hanworth Park, within the London Borough of Hounslow, approximately 13 miles South West of London City Centre. The project has to main aim: to refurbish the Hanworth Park House turning it into a residencial facility and to introduce a new residential complex within the Hanworth Park itself, for a total of 247 new dwellings. In this project I worked during one mounth, my main tasks were to update plans and layouts uf the dwellings and in the last period to edit the design and access statement.

Bath road bournemouth residential and hotel complex (stage 3) CLIENT: freshlime developments
T
he Application Site is located on Bath Road on the western side of St Peter’s Roundabout. It is 0.5 miles from Bournemouth Pier and 0.7 miles from Bournemouth Railway Station. The project consist in the introduction of a brand new landmark hotel to replace the rundown belvedere hotel wich has been closed in 2014, in addition new residential units will be created to meet the new housing demand. In this project I got involved during the planning phase, specially by updating the apartments layouts, and during the production of the design and access statement.
