Preface: This booklet is a sample of my work as part of my work with studios or as an independent practitioner in architecture competitions. Each slide has a brief description of the assignment and showcases the final product. Some of these projects may have other documents associated with the design process. Feel free to take contact you’d like to know a bit more about any of them.

Åsgarden Multihall/ Concept-Main hall
KUL (Kids Urban Lab): Kids Urban Lab, presented for the London Nursery School competition (2015), is a reinterpretation of the daycare model. By transforming the educational space into an activity hub, community can act together in guiding and nurturing children.
Concept: Main Hall
Ludic spaces such as a dedicated greenhouse illustrates the importance vital topics for the future such as food production and works as a sort of community garden/gathering space. Other spaces such as the outdoor claypit allows not only for creativity explorations in a cooperative environment but generate artistic production which can be shared further with the community and is in a continuous status of renovation. KUL explores a simple strategy to improve our educational system: to come together as a community. Grøn (New Aarhus architecture school competition): The city of Aarhus, Denmark. Launched a competition for the design of a new architecture school in the frame of their 50 years celebration. Grøn envisions an architecture workshop space that integrates with the community as a way to foster debate. The ever-increasing complexity and social differences in society imply that new architecture professionals have to find new ways to be in touch with broader society and those who integrate it. Green roofs with plenty of skylights maximize the building usable space as a park-area and make sure there’s as much sunlight as possible inside of the building. In the future, successful practitioners need to reach the broader public and integrate it into the creative process, as a way to offer solutions in touch with the broader needs of society and foster professionals accustomed from the very beginning to collective working mechanics. Geilo Kinosal (As architect for Geiloark AS): The municipality of Hol, wished to renovate the big hall of its local theatre. The space functions regularly as a movie theatre open to public but also as a scene for the local school and as multiuse space. These important constraints played a vital role in the material selection in regards for durability as well as environmental possibilities. The final result is a collaboration with different local firms for the installation of LED lights with a vast array of colours and the usage of foldable acoustic plates. The acoustic plates fasted to the ceiling optimized voluntary labour within the municipality and incorporated 3 different folding methods which are placed dynamically in order to facilitate light effects, sound and illumination. The image shows the final result, and is used with permission of Geilo Kino. Keywords: Institutional, Public space, Theatre, Environment design, Concept design Software: ArchiCAD Year: 2019

Concept: Expansion of the existing
Hytte OS (As architect for Geiloark AS): A private client approached the office with the intention of expanding their existing chalet in Viken, Norway. The expansion included a new living room for extra sleeping places, and a new access. Adjustments to the existing property were also evaluated. One particular challenge of the project was taking advantage of the natural slope of terrain, to comply with the tight local regulation. Big windows that allow as much natural sunlight as possible was also a point of importance in the design. Big openings also contribute to make use of the natural view surrounding the property. Stone cladding on the fundament walls integrates the design with its landscape and clearly defines the spatial volumes vertically. The project was presented at the end of 2020 to undergo approval with the municipalities planning office. Åsgarden Multihall: This project was developed as part of the BIM technician program (BIM22) at Fagskolen i Agder. The purpose of the project was to test different modelling tools and to check the results in different collaboration software/platforms such as Solibri. For my workgroup it was of importance to also have the opportunity for architectural exploration. Open spaces with large window areas are an element of importance to guarantee quality lighting, handicap access to guarantee equal participation and taken in consideration as much as compliance with Norwegian building regulation (TEK 17). A mixed-use program which includes a kiosk and complete sport facilities ended up being the final result. The volume on the backside has a freer form that can be utilized as a climbing wall/public space for the students and broader community.

Concept: Module A- Eden
SELENE: Delivered for the moon station design competition organized by YAC. The proposal explores the limits of human space and its interaction with human body and psyche. The main module consists of a spherical inflatable structure (Kevlar textile), with a cover of lunar regolith to reduce the effects of solar radiation. Given the extreme conditions in which the station is going to be placed, it does not make much sense to have as many openings, they represent possible points of failure for the structure and there isn’t much of a landscape to look at. Therefore, light interior spaces which provide a sense of serenity are more important. The main research module “Eden” includes a vertical garden meant to be used for hydroponic production as wells as a reflection space for the rest of the station. While costs of production are in fact of importance, the personnel who will be inhabiting the station should have access to the required infrastructure to thrive and have minimal impact to their quality of life, as they are much more difficult (and expensive) to replace.
