EXTRA WORK
Centro Rafael Urdaneta Internship. 2009 Centro Rafael Urdaneta, CRU Department in charge of consolidation and preservation of the central area of the city of Maracaibo. This department manages the different urban projects that take place on the downtown of the area, and make sure that they are develop following the current laws and enhance the historical and cultural relevance of the area. Goal: To carry out an urban analysis in the area of Santa LucĂa in Maracaibo, in order to determine the biggest urban issues of the area and find a proper way to solve them by preserving the historical relevance of the area. Development Process: Internship goals were achieved by following the following process: 1. Research and Analysis: It was decided to take into consideration the whole area of Santa Lucia, which is known as one of the first areas of the city, and preserves a great historical relevance due to the presence of many of the original residential houses of the city. It was decided to divide the area into five sub-areas in order to develop an intense analysis of each of the structures located on them. 2. Site Visits and Photo Inventory: It was decided to carry out a set of site visits, twelve in total, which would allow to gather a proper number of pictures of the area and its structures. In addition, several surveys were developed to obtain more information from the owners of the different houses, stores and other structures of the area. 3. Urban Diagnosis: After having enough information, the main issue was identified, which was the loss of the historical relevance of the structures, due to their current state. In order to deal with that issue, a well-detailed base map of the area was developed. The map presented the specific number of each of the buildings in the area, and their current situation. In addition, several photo collages were developed in order to obtain more accurate view of the current situation of the area.

Brown Design Internship. 2014 3D Models The following set of 3D models was developed during the internship in Brown Design Studio during the fall quarter 2014. During this process, it was required to take a closer look into the catalog of the firm and generate a number of Google Sketch Up 3D models of a selected number of projects. These models would be used to showcase the firm’s projects and help future clients understand the projects in a more accurate way by showing the proper measures of the projects and their diverse structural and design details.
Design Proposals During the internship process, the head architect of the firm started a set of two residential templates designs to develop. During this process, with the guidance of the head architect of Brown Design Studio, a total of ten proposals were generated. These proposals present all the required spaces needed to fulfill the needs of specific clients, in this case would be college students. During this process, it was required to analyze the layout of a typical apartment in order to connect the interior spaces of the apartment and fulfill the everyday needs of the client in a successful way.
Printmaking Processes. 2013 The following set of prints were developed on the class Graduate Printmaking Processes at the Savannah College of Art and Design during the Fall quarter of 2013.
