Design of an architectural element based on the growth pattern of Ivy (Hedera helix). It will University Life Virus colonize the University in the same way as the flu virus does, taking the DNA of the infected body to become unique and powerful. Our architectural “virus” made by a system and calcalculation with rhinoscript programing, will find its way around the Convent of Santa Cruz la Real, recognizing those areas where university life is low, and “infecting” them with spaces full of life and activity, and ignoring places where innovation and university actions are happening. The virus is reproduced as furnitures, stores, benchs, decoration etc. becoming in part of the architecture.

The word as a constitutive element of language allows build, communicate, transmit. The works presented in the exhibition La Fuerza de la Palabra highlight how through the word and the discourse it generates, the artists express their point of view towards society in which they live. The idea is acquired the knowledge about the history evolution of the construction systems from two clear positions: the discovery and interpretation of the tradition. Taking some everyday objects create a new frankenstain, in this case is for new era babies heroes generation protective, movable and waterprofing stroller

The main idea of this project was creating an individual housing prototype produce with some of them, an urban scale, a city. Initially housing had to be elevated and supported by stilts, but with some studies Tapestry-vertical city is the best adjetive to describe it, growth in vertical and horizontal way depending on the ground. The combination of different residential pieces generates several public and common spaces. There exists balconies, patios, courtyards and gardens that cretes different green areas and atmospheres depending on the vegetation and the geography where is situated.





Housing prototype has this “Z” shape to adapt to the terrain, also take advantage of interior spaces and also different heights allow to have different kind of natural light inside. Volume I is for a couple, the spaces and furnitures are movable and changeable made with neutral materials; wood and blanch materials, to generate several moods in the same space. The idea is exploit to the maximum the space to have continuous and free places. The materials are basically concrete and wood to try to achieve the most efficient housing prototype in terms of money, technology and energy. There exists two others kind of volume that sum one and two volumes for more numerous families and in case of the neccesity of more space. 



















Bulli Restaurant II is the new Ferran Adria’s investment in Madrid located in an industrial area. The building is designed in a peculiar way, trying to enjoy and experience the process of cooking something in this famous and glamorous restaurant. The circulation of the building is focused in a central lift to go up and then start the route. Cold and Hot kitchens are the original places with a translucent cutlery finished.

DYS Shelter_with Beatriz Fernández & Candela Oliva STRUCTURE PLAN

DYS is an emergence removable shelter against natural disasters in Quintana Roo, Mexico. The basic idea is designed in modules to facilitate the construction. The materials are steel structures (Rehasa factory) joint with screws and covered with waterproof and isolated materials and the interior made of pladur. A combination of different modules create an urban scale, a city.

Design_Segovia Design week Segovia Design week consist in an event organized in Segovia related with art, architecture and design. Artist can show their work in different ways in this week, making an exhibition in streets and also in commemorative building. There is also a competition where can contest proffesionals and students, with public votations through an urban generator bilboards creating animations and interactions screens to show designer’s work.

During 1st semester of 5th Year, the course has been divided in three weeks each of Alternative Practices. It is composed of different subjects referenced to architecture. There are composed by Design, Landscape & Environment, The City, Digital Studies and Management & Entrepreneurship. Digital Studies consisted in used new digital programs to design and programming a video game and know how to upload on Internet. Management & Entrepreneurship is how to design, organize and produce a real company considering market, product, price, marketing, company, distribution...and make it real with classmates. These different subjects are related with the architecture and design.

Making a regional, city and park/garden analysis of Rio Eresma in Segovia, the proposal was to improve the existing place giving it a personal character. This location is a park near a university and the city centre. The project was made a public and private orchards taking part the citizens to produce a new and productive vegetation.

A mapping of chewing gums used and dropped on the pavement by pedestrians is used as an evidence of how people use public space. Analyzing different plazas of Segovia center and some characteristics of these ones as pavement, shadows, paths...the idea is to locate places without interests and generate and activate them with a new activity. Wifi stations are the new connections to invite people, especially young students, to stay and also create a union inside the Old Town, producing new environment and life.

chewing gum open space A mapping of chewing gums used and dropped on the pavement by pedestrians is used as an evidence of how people use public space. The density of these stains suggest how people move and where they stay, in the axis of the Calle Real and four different squares: Plaza Mayor, Plaza de San MartĂ­n, Casa de los Picos and Plaza del Azoguejo. There is a clear relationship between the physical components of the city (pavement, urban equipment, spatial configuration) and the way people use these spaces.

EconomybehindTourismtroughCosmetic e.t.c- (Economy behind Tourism through cosmetics) consists in the rehabilitation and reactivation of an abandoned mine through an specific market, cosmetics. The intent of this project is not only to create a new touristic attraction in the area, otherwise create jobs with existing raw mining materials but targeted at a very specific new market, cosmetics. The combination of tourism + employment create three different kind of tourists: international, national and local. They all depend on how long tourists want to spend; from weekly to daily experience. Finally e.t.c promotes a close relationship between worker-visitor and also between local-foreign to be part of the process of the experimenting cosmetics. There are two users: workers and tourists so the building is divided in two programs independently but with some connected points and also related with the two process explained. Workers have the task from the extraction of the minerals, studies of the composition of the cosmetics to its sale, it´s called ‘Cosmetic Factory’, instead tourists experience this process and prove the products and take part of its process, it´s called ‘Centre of relaxation’.

There are many differents between minery and cos2. National tourist metics process. Minery is composed and determined different steps from extraction, clasification, production, storage, transportation and sale, meanwhile cosmetics is based on conservation, production, investigation and experimentation. The idea is to mix both process and also try to use the existing building 3. Local tourist as support to construct the new process of cosmetics. The extraction of the minerals is going tobe extracted daily weekly from the existing mine, only 10%, and after this process of coservation-production-investigation-experimentation also has to be organized for tourisits for enjoying and take part of the process.
