On March 1 9 t h , t h e v o t i n g m a j o r i t y on t h e Board o f D i r e c t o r s o f C a r n e g i e h e l d an " I n Camera" m e e t i n g on t h e t h i r d f l o o r a t e x a c t l y t h e same time a s an important p u b l i c meeting i n the Theatre o f f e r i n g area r e s i d e n t s input t o t h e Coals f o r Vancouver S u r v e y .

I was s i n c e r e when I s a i d t h a t I t r u s t e d you, y e t t h e i n c i d e n t a b o u t L e n z i ' s l e t t e r - which you s a i d you had a l r e a d y s e e n made me wonder.

The l i b e l o u s s t a t e m e n t s were f a i r l y o b v i o u s , b u t I wanted t o o b s e r v e t h e k i n d o f o b j e c t i v e i n t e g r i t y w i t h which you would r e v i e w t h e c o n t e n t s o f s u b m i s s i o n s . Most p e o p l e u s u a l l y e x p e c t a v a r i e t y o f I n d i a n d i s h e s . The point i s , a l o t of people came a l o n g way from o u t of tow11 and went home p r e t t y d i s a p p o i n t e d . Next t i m e , t h e y b e t t e r p u t o u t I t a l i a n food i n s t e a d . T h a t ' s a l l t h a t was on t h e p l a t e t h a t was p u t i n f r o n t of me.
