DANCE - RECITAL

All classes are held at Simkus Recreation Center

Costumes

$70 costume fee and $20 t-shirt fee (Holiday Showcase and Recital) are due upon registration

Ballet

Our ballet program is designed to educate and train students in the art of Classical Ballet where dancers will learn the traditional structure of the class from barre work, center and across the floor We emphasize developmentally correct ballet technique, strength-building body conditioning, flexibility, musicality and much more Ballet 1 & 2 are designed to be 2 years in each level. When the dancer is ready to progress to level 3-5 they will be evaluated and given the approval to move to the next level. Evaluations can be scheduled with Rachel Arendt, Performing Arts Coordinator at rachela@csparks.org.

Attire

Dancers can wear leotards, tights or athletic wear depending on the class Appropriate shoes are required for each style of class

Payment plan is available with the first month due at registration and automatic payments the first of each month, from OctoberApril

Ballet Pre-Pointe/Pointe

Dancers continue classical ballet technique and begin the study of pre-pointe and pointe focusing on foot strength and suppleness Dancers use pointe shoes to learn a different ballet discipline

Ages 10-18

Previous ballet experience and enrollment in Ballet 3 or above, or Forte Ballet Technique class is required Evaluation at the first class determines skill level readiness Instructor will place students on pointe shoes when it is determined they are ready

Experience the world of musical theatre! Performers light up the stage learning jazz steps to popular musical tunes.
