PRESCHOOL

Variety of class dates and times to fit your schedule! Classes are held at Simkus Recreation Center.

The Carol Stream Park District Preschool program has been a community tradition for over 40 years. Through education, recreation, and fun, our preschool program offers a balanced play-based learning approach perfect for first-time and returning students. Our passionate and experienced teachers are committed to working together to provide your child with the most enjoyable experience

MORE INFORMATION

I was really nervous for my son to start preschool as he had never been away from me. On his first day the teachers took him by hand and made him comfortable. I think I had a harder time than he did. He enjoyed every second at school with his teachers and friends and I couldn’t thank them enough for preparing him for kindergarten and giving him the confidence he needed.Carol Stream Preschool Parent

The Carol Stream Park District’s Swim Academy has a variety of swim lessons for all ages, starting at six months old through teens and adults Swimmers are evaluated for swim level placement, and lessons are conducted in either the 25-yard lap pool or therapy pool at Fountain View Recreation Center depending on swimmer level.

MORE SWIM ACADEMY

SWIMMING GUIDELINES

Group Lessons

Parents are not allowed on the pool deck Parents may watch their child from the bleachers, or the viewing section

Due to limited staff availability, there are no makeups or rescheduling for any group lessons

Group ratios are subject to change depending on the age and ability of the swimmers

Swimmers will be evaluated during the first two classes If the Instructor and Aquatics Supervisor feel the swimmer does not meet the requirements of the class, they will be moved up or down a level to best serve the needs of the child

If two or more swimmers from the same family would like to join the same swim class, we request you move the better swimmers down

FAQ's
