House on the hill overlooking the sea Gargano, north Puglia
My project of a house on a hill in the Gargano overlooking the Adriatic Sea, is dedicated to Oscar Fingal O'Flaherty Wills Wilde ( Dublin, October 16th, 1854 - Paris, November 30th, 1900 ) an Irish writer, poet and playwright . He was one of the greatest exponents of Aestheticism , but an artistic but above all literary movement of the second half of the nineteenth century. Indeed, we can define him as the philosopher of the decadent aesthetic movement, who based his thinking on an essential axiom : neither utility nor truth nor morality should pollute the perception of art, the purpose of which is exclusively the pursuit of beauty. The architecture is grafted onto the soil and is reclining on it, and the entrance is visible on the cover. A division was made in the interior, so that the fire room and the day room was clearly separated from that of dreams and of the body. From the outside, however , the house can be perceived as a single structure thanks to an important horizontal element that connects the spaces and acts as a viewpoint.

Cohousing Venice Mestre, fruit and vegetable market area
The proposed theme is the design of a co-housing unit in the area of the Venice Mestre fruit and vegetable market near the new university campus of Ca' Foscari. The master plan has been designed with the aim of creating a compact urban system composed of two linear buildings parallel to each other, placed on different areas of land, the heights of which range from two to three floors . The building complex is placed perpendicular to Via Torino, this axis is also emphasised by better defining the relationship with the canal that seems almost to become an extension of it. The apartments are based on the repetition of a module and its possible combinations, are all located towards the north-west and overlook a large green space, which ends with a rise in the land that acts as a sound barrier. The buildings are connected by two bridges, under which are the main entrances. Between the buildings a shadow line is created that becomes a metaphor for the division between public and private areas. In fact, in one building the community services are located, such as the canteen, laundry, video classrooms and study areas, while in the other there are the private accommodation areas.

H么pital Saint Vincent de Paul University complex, Paris
The project involves the construction of a university complex at the former H么pital Saint Vincent de Paul in the historical part of Paris. The complex consists of three main buildings containing useful services to the University campus and can also be used by external bodies. At the entrance, there is the lobby, overlooking Avenue Denfert - Rochereau, which is also a great place to access it and receive information. After passing the impressive glazed entrance, you find yourself in front of the entrance staircase to the "wall exhibition" gallery, which lies right along the masonry fence like a thin blade suspended on a light porch. The auditorium is located opposite the gallery, thus forming a large, square, central gathering place. The auditorium has a "box in a box" structure, which is enclosed in an isolated structure within the first one. The three bodies, covered in light travertine, are connected together by a striking elevated panoramic walkway, which is the main theme of the whole project.

San Felice sul Panaro Church of San Felice Vescovo San Felice sul Panaro, Modena
The project is a sort of " shrine " in concrete that is designed to protect ancient ruins , thus restoring the original function as a Church to the ruins which have remained there. The new building will be constructed entirely in concrete. It stands behind the walls of the old one and never comes into contact with them , touching the ground in only a few areas that are not visible either inside or outside of the church. In this way, a clear distinction is created between old and new, but at the same time the red pigment on the outside of the concrete, which echoes the color of the brickwork of the church, gives uniformity to the entire complex. An annexe, another wing of the building, is joined to the main building, with the longitudinal axis perpendicular to the original one, leaning against the old building on the north side. This building will have classrooms for catechism and working classrooms. The walk-on cover of the building will stand alongside the ruins of the tower, which will be the only portion of the church not rebuilt, leaving a significant symbol of the memory of the earthquake.

Mirano Ecological corridors and sustainable mobility
The project area includes the zone which links the center of Mirano and the villages of Zianigo and Campocroce. The implementation of the project will include the creation of a " greenway " including picnic areas with outdoor furniture and public toilets, an information point, an urban park with adjoining gastronomic activities, picnic areas and two playgrounds. These elements are connected by a pedestrian trail that joins the whole route to the ecological network . Even the project of the new urban park is part of the overall strategy to restore and protect the ecological corridors and biodiversity. The choice of the area falls on an area belonging to the town which has been heavily developed and privatized and which is lacking in adequate space for leisure activities. The sinuous shapes of the park complement the surrounding river and agricultural landscape, thus recreating a movement of the landscape which is perfectly in tune with man. There are four thematic areas identified by different flooring and natural colors, and for each of these, particular species of trees and shrubs native to this area and thus suitable have been chosen.

Biennale in love The unique architecture will be our lives Act IV: love, Venice Biennale pavilions
At the end of the 60s the new generation of architects brings the themes of the student uprising in the University within the architectural practice. The rejection of the legacy of the Modern Movement and the challenge to the system as a whole created a fertile decade of architectural experimentation, later summed up with the term " Radical Architecture". Going beyond a simple correspondence of the word " radical " with a certain range of cultural and political extremism, or a return to a form of primitive purity dictated by the rejection of technology and the rejection of forms of contemporary convenience, what does it mean to be radical in a time when every path seems to have been followed, every thought already gutted? The Superstudio Group addresses the issue of radical architecture, by examining the five basic acts of human life: life, education, ceremony, love and death. Here, that of love in particular has been analyzed, with the proposed transformation of the pavilions at the Venice Biennale into architectural areas for sexual rituals from various cultures, some unknown or forgotten, while others are well-known or have been rediscovered.

Ex Sava Crude advanced architectures: Venice Porto Marghera, Sava area (ex-aluminum works)
The word anatomy is semantically linked to the terms engrave, cut, dissect, dry out or dissect. The workshop will experiment with these 'dissectory' methods in the practice of architecture, paying particular attention to tomographic sections. Tomographic sections work through sequences and juxtapositions, exploring the folds of geography and settlements. The overlapping on one floor, creating intercepting lines and unexpressed relations, allows you to discover nodes and intersections between distant layers. The dissection creates detachment and separation, thus freeing the ground for new possible relations that are experienced through a certain degree of abstraction. Through the shifting, 'translation' of the sections, you create new spaces, and so it is possible to pull out what is invisible from what is already existing, that which is often at the interstitium of things. A co-housing project in Sava (ex-aluminum works) in Port Marghera, Venice, has been developed on the basis of this principle.

Venice 2050 Trasformation of an industrial location Venice in 2050, sea rise - the dyke
The island of Venice could be compared with Dubai's Palm Island or the island at Kansai airport in Osaka. While Palm Island is a real-estate hub and Osaka Island is an infrastructure hub, Venice could be seen as a tourist hub! The objective of the workshop is to explore, develop procedures, discuss futuristic scenarios and build cutting-edge visions. Like other European cities the Venetian area is facing changes that threaten its economy, ecology, society, cultural identity and political stability, but at the same time can allow new experiments in urban planning and the creation of new relationships with neighboring cities. How? With the closure of some heavy industries, land and buildings have become available within the city limits. Although often contaminated and next to the remaining factories, many of these areas are close to the sea, facing the idyllic setting of Venice.

Ulaanbaatar SDevelopment & Azzurra Architects, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
During the summer of 2013 I spent time in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, a Central Asian state, at the architectural firm SDevelopment & Azzurra Architects. During the internship, I was involved in the design of a residential complex for middle and high social classes that extends over a hilly area of 2.5 hectares on the outskirts of the capital. The district consists of 9 buildings with 6 floors and a tower of 12 floors in which 127 apartment units are located with 8 different types of houses with extra facilities on the ground floor such as a lounge bar and a spa. On the following pages are extracts from the drawings that I was entrusted with.
