STRANGER ON THE THIRD FLOOR Here is the little B picture that launched one of the greatest movements in cinema history: film noir. Peter Lorre plays the eerie title role in this gem about a reporter (John McGuire) whose testimony sentences a small-time loser (Elisha Cook Jr.) to the electric chair. When the reporter himself is fingered in a second murder, he realizes both crimes are the work of a furtive stranger—but will anyone believe him?

Hitchcock's penultimate film stars Jon Finch, Alec McCowen and Barry Foster in a morbid blend of horror and wit. Finch plays a down-on-hisluck Londoner who is offered some help by an old pal. In fact, Foster is a serial killer known as the Necktie Murderer—and he's framing Finch. Which leads to a classic Hitchcock situation: a guiltless man is forced to prove his innocence while eluding Scotland Yard at the same time.

And somewhere up ahead is a maniac in a van whose game may be butchering people along the highway.

BEETLEJUICE A happy couple (Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis) with a lovely country house die in a car accident and must haunt their old home while waiting to be processed into heaven. Too nice to be scary, they befriend the new tenant's daughter (Wynona Ryder). When they fail to prevent the girl's parents from fleeing the house, they ask a devilish spirit (Michael Keaton) for help.

It’s Jaws with claws from the director of The Manitou! When an eighteen-foot, very pissed-off, two-thousand-pound grizzly bear starts mauling campers, a park ranger (Christopher George) enlists the aid of a naturalist (Richard Jaeckel) and a helicopter pilot (Andrew Prine) to take this freak of nature down. The grizzly, not content with picnic baskets, goes on a rampage, chomping down hikers, joggers, log cabins, and environmental activists.
