welcome

Dear Exhibitors and Trainers, I would like to invite you to show at the USHJA Member’s Choice Winning Atlanta Fall Classic this year. Over the past few years of competing with Palm Beach and Tampa, our fall show has seen numbers go up and down. This year we will again offer the $25,000 Grand Prix and we have made some changes in our hunter offerings to reflect new regulations and the trends we see at other shows. I would like to apologize in advance for the increase in the Service Fees. Last January, the USEF Board of Directors passed a change in the dues that we pay to USEF for our shows. It was based on prize money and was a fixed amount. Unfortunately, now the amount based on the number of entries. Given this increase, in addition to the massive increases in credit card charges, we have been forced to raise our fee by $15 per horse in order for our shows to stay in budget. We considered raising the entry fees, stall fees and nomination fees but felt the most fair increase was the Service Fee. In looking at prize lists across the country, our fee of $35 was the lowest we could find for major AA premiere shows. We will be trying something new with our hotels in Atlanta and we sincerely hope you will make an effort to let the hotels know you are with the horse show. We are now getting new “Host Hotel” rates that will be the lowest prices offered to our exhibitors during our event. In the past, the hotels have told us they have no pick up from our exhibitors. Several hotels have wanted to cut our complimentary rooms and increase our staff rate, which will increase the costs of running the horse shows, ultimately making the entry fees go up. The hotels tell us this because they do not have a way to track pick up. When booking, please confirm the hotels know you are with the horse show and when you are making your reservations, make sure they give you the horse show rate. See you at the ring,

Bob Bell President Classic Company

P.S. — We have been sold out for the past three shows in Atlanta so we suggest getting your stall requests in as soon as possible.
