Media Pack - About Carpaholixx Carpaholixx is the premier subscription-based monthly online magazine for all carp anglers. We have more than 2,500 pan-European subscribers to the online version and we are launching a print version in time for the Carp Society Show in December. We are aiming to circulate 5,000 copies of the printed magazine throughout the UK on a quarterly basis. We launched Carpaholixx in 2011 as a monthly html 5- based electronic magazine viewable on PC, tablets and smartphones. We have now evolved our product into an electronic (flip-page) magazine, with print editions produced quarterly. We host on our own UK-based, dedicated servers for rapid response to ensure that subscribers get to the magazine easily and immediately. The new format also allows a greater degree of graphic design, which is great for news advertisers and readers alike. We are also developing Carpaholixx as iOS and Android apps enabling subscribers to take the magazine anywhere. Unique graphical, interactive product directory In early 2013 Carpaholixx will include an innovative manufacturer/tackle retailer directory that is linkable to any particular product or page in the online magazine. When a subscriber clicks the link a map or list is displayed containing all of the tackle retailers in the UK that sell that particular brand or product. The reader will be able to use this information to find the nearest or most convenient outlet that stocks the product. We believe this system will help maximise your advertising investment and increase your sales.

Video library Carpaholixx also hosts our own library of carp fishing videos. Some of these are promotional videos created specially for our customers. These videos can also link to the directory or to an external destination of your choice. We are currently working on an advert pre-roll system, which again has tremendous scope, so watch this space! High quality content Carpaholixx encourages and promotes carp angling excellence by sharing and disseminating best practice and expert knowledge among our subscribers. Our editorial content focuses chiefly on the personal experience of our guest contributors and their practical understanding of how to catch specimen carp, making the publication unique in the carpfishing sector. It’s not all about the fishing however as we aim to promote a greater understanding of the environment, fish biology and other important matters that affect the angling scene. Our writers

Our writers include Dave Magalhaes, Keith Sykes, Paul Moulder, John Elmer, Nick Helleur, Joe Turnbull and Nigel Sharp among other stalwarts and rising stars in the carping world. We also encourage our subscribers to get involved and encourage them to submit article ideas – we can even assign one of the editorial team to help them write the article. The breadth of editorial input from such a wide range of contributors ensures that we can maintain the high quality of each issue of our magazine. And, our designers and artists, help make each issue a must and easy read every time.

Purchasing power Our subscribers make their own decisions about their fishing methods and this reflects in their purchasing. They come from all works of life, but have one thing in common: their love and passion for the sport, which makes them an ideal target audience for fishing product manufacturers and suppliers. For example, they will buy bait, ingredients, line, leads, hooks, leaders, rigs and other consumables on a regular basis and will constantly review and upgrade their tackle in their pursuit of big fish. They are also keen to learn about innovations across the whole range of carp fishing products. Promotional activity We actively promote Carpaholixx to our target audience by attending and exhibiting at angling events, direct mail and email campaigns, and close relationships with angling associations, venues and tackle manufacturers and suppliers. We don’t publish a forward features list in the general sense and work from issue to issue to preserve our uniqueness.
