The 120 m² apartment is located in a 1970’s building facing the green area of Bois de Boulogne on Paris west side. It has been projected as a big single room with a kitchen open on a living room on one side and 2 rooms with their own bathroom on the other side. The custom designed kitchen has a simple and very accurate design. The natural wood used for both its cabinets and the floor gives a graphic style through its lines. As island has been positioned that acts as a worktop and defines the space between the kitchen and dining area. Above it we find an elegant pendant lamp in copper finish that blends perfectly with the color of the kitchen. For the dining zone, the iconic Saarinen dining table was chosen which, with a single leg with soft curves, is a true triumph of art and sculpture. A touch of modern is given by Hans Wegner's CH23 chairs with clean and organic contours. As customers are passionate about art, one piece to note is a painting by Camille Henrot. Below it we also find a Jenny Holzer bench and the African Ngbaka figurine from Galerie Lucas Ratton. Next to it there is a large window that floods the room with natural light while the white curtains guarantee privacy.
The living room is a real gem of the house. On the one hand we find the warm brown sofa that "softens" the environment even more with its welcoming curves. On the other side, near a large window, there are two armchairs designed by Sandra Benhamou, also always in brown shades. In the center of the room, a marvelous coffee table has been placed that gives a touch of luxury. Above the sofa, a painting by Pierre Malbec has been hung which, with its bright colors of green and red, differs from the rest of the color palette. The décor was completed by a series of home accessories such as the green wool plaid by Jules et Jim, the cushions, the small sculptural objects, but above all the large black and white carpet by Sandra Benhamou. As far as lighting is concerned, there was no need to include lamps as there is also a large window here which guarantees a bright environment. A floor lamp by Gallery Glustin has been placed which looks like another artwork.
Like the rest of the house, the bedroom is awash in warm tones and the abundant use of wood. The wardrobes and the bookcase, always made to measure, are positioned on one side to give a homogenous style to the environment. Sandra Benhamou has given a strong weight to the textures: the bed in light beige tones as well as the bed linen give a greater sense of warmth while a plaid with its mix of colors is a playful element of the room. Among the works of art, there are the "Normal Desires" lithograph in black and white, the painting by Gideon Rubin above the bed and the applique from the Glustin Gallery. On the opposite side of the door window, a mirror framed in wood has been positioned that reflects natural light, guaranteeing the points of light in every part of the room.
