hotel d’hallywyl

Perched in the the rafters of an “Hotel Particulier” designed by Claude-Nicolas Ledoux in 1766. Located in the heart of the Haute Marais spiting distance from Musee de la Chasse et de la Nature the former home of Louis XVI finance minister Charles Necker. The apartment is an inverted hull with very little wall space. A gut renovation was effected in the early 1990’s, though well-done there was an undeniable generic quality to the interiors. Anne-Marie used many rich textures to off set the bland effect of dry wall. The boy’s room was a special challenge due to the narrowness of the room. Available as a weekly rental.
