Our on-site manikin and cold chamber allow us to design products that will perform in the field Our chamber and independent testing provide temperature ratings for our products All hooded sleeping bags above 10 degrees Fahrenheit get rated in accordance to EN (European Norm) 13537 and ISO 23537

Our blankets, quilts and non-hooded sleeping bags are given a suggested comfort and limit range that differs slightly from traditional EN ratings, because these products require extra insulation for your head and integration with a mattress Use these charts to understand the warmth you can expect from Therm-a-Rest products

Box Baffled Construction

To maximize thermal efficiency in key areas, we use mesh box baffles to boost loft and eliminate cold spots at the seams of the sleeping bag or quilt

Special slider design makes midnight ventilation a breeze by preventing annoying and costly snags on the fabric

Comfort Range & Rating : This is the lowest recommended temperature for a “standard” woman (25 yo, 132 lb (60 kg), 5’2’’ (157 cm)).

Transition Range & Limit Rating: This is the lowest recommended temperature for a “standard” man (25 yo, 154 lb (70 kg) and 5’7’’ (170 cm)).

Risk Range & Rating: The sleeping bag should only be used in this range in an emergency, or by those with ample experience in augmenting a bag’s warmth.
