Take Notes, John Mayer: Here Are Hollywood’s Greatest Boyfriends and Husbands

This week, every tabloid cover focuses on the cheating and trash talking ways of bad boys in Hollywood. From John Mayer's TMI Playboy interview to Tiger Woods' affair, their bad behavior is getting way more publicity than it should. But what about the good guys in Hollywood?Nnice guys definitely don't finish last, so here is our ode to the real life Lloyd Doblers and Alvy Singers of Hollywood. See who made the list ... after the jump. Ashton Kutcher Sure, he tweets photos of his wife's bikini-clad behind, but we can forgive him for that since he clearly keeps the romance alive. He's sweet, considerate and talks so lovingly of Demi Moore that we can't help but admire him. Despite his age, there's a reason you don't hear constant rumors about the state of their marriage -- because it's boring to report about a stable relationship. But in this case, for Ashton and Demi, boring is good. Matthew McConaughey You'd expect McConaughey to be the consummate bachelor -- maybe because he made the line "That's what I love about these high school girls, man. I get older, they stay the same age" famous. But he's defied our expectations, not just as a boyfriend but as a father as well. McConaughey, longtime girlfriend Camila Alves and their children are one big happy family, and we congratulate him for it. John Krasinski While it's difficult to imagine the lovable John Krasinski, who plays Jim Halpert on 'The Office,' with anyone but Pam -- it's clear he's swept actress Emily Blunt off her feet in real life. Although Blunt and Krasinski have kept their relationship out of the public eye, their body language shows they're in love. As for their impending nuptials, Blunt says that staying mum and keeping their relationship out of the tabloids is key to having a great relationship in Hollywood. "It's vital. It's the whole deal -- you have to have a dual existence. You have the acting side of it and the business life, and even doing press junkets and stuff, there's an element of performance in it. And then you have your private life and your downtime, and you have to make that divide." That's good enough for us. Seal Every time Heidi Klum opens her mouth about husband Seal, it is clear she has a good man by her side. In a 2007 interview with Oprah Winfrey, the couple opened up about how they keep the spark alive. Even after having three children together, the passion never died, Seal said in the joint interview. "The most common hiccup," says Seal, is when the first child comes along. "And it turns into all about the kids, which is understandable because they're miraculous. But then you've got to put each other first. You know, she will always be number one for me." "Is it true?" asks Winfrey. "I have the most romantic husband," says Klum. "I do." Tom Hanks Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have been married for over 21 years. We'll repeat that -- 21 years! These days, that's an eternity -- Hollywood or not. And while Hanks' career has eclipsed his wife's, theirs is a partnership of equals. (Besides, she's the one who persuaded him to make 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding.') Tom, we commend you. Peter Facinelli Peter Facinelli is definitely a family man when it comes to being with wife Jennie Garth and their three daughters: Luca Bella, Lola Ray and Fiona Eve. "I am not a big 'look at me' person, so I don't go to a lot of premieres. I am more of a family guy who stays at home with my kids. I'm more known as being the soccer dad," Facinelli said. We cannot get enough of Facinelli, who is a loving husband and family man. Matt Damon Matt Damon went out and got himself a non-celebrity for a wife, Luciana Barroso. Then they had a kid. Now they parade around on the red carpet looking so much in love, it almost makes us want to puke. We say almost, because it's so darn cute. Damon is a devoted husband and father. And we're grateful, because it gives us hope that there are more guys like him out there.

The History of St. Patrick’s Day Patrick’s Day is celebrated on March 17, his religious feast day and the anniversary of his death in the fifth century. The Irish hav observed this day as a religious holiday for over a thousand years. On St. Patrick’s Day, which falls during the Christian season of Lent, Irish families would traditionally attend church in the morning and celebrate in the afternoon. Lenten prohibitions against the consumption of meat were waived and people would dance, drink, and feast—on the traditional meal of Irish bacon and cabbage. The first St. Patrick’s Day parade took place not in Ireland, but in the United States. Irish soldiers serving in the English military marched through New York City on March 17, 1762. Along with their music, the parade helped the soldiers to reconnect with their Irish roots, as well as fellow Irishmen serving in the English army. Over the next thirty-five years, Irish patriotism among American immigrants flourished, prompting the rise of so-called “Irish Aid” societies, like the Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick and the Hibernian Society. Each group would hold annual parades featuring bagpipes (which actually first became popular in the Scottish and British armies) and drums. In 1848, several New York Irish aid societies decided to unite their parades to form one New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Today, that parade is the world ‘s oldest civilian parade and the largest in the United States, with over 150,000 participants. Each year, nearly three million people line the one-and-a-half mile parade route to watch the procession, which takes more than five hours. Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Savannah also celebrate the day with parades including between 10,000 to 20,000 participants.

PROFESSIONAL TEETH WHITENING A Brighter Smile Improves Confidence and is Now Affordable for Everyone Typically a Professional Teeth Whitening service can run anywhere between $400 and $600. In today’s economy that price makes this great service far less accessible to most everyone. However, the same level of effectiveness is now available to you for only $79. The most popular question we get is regarding sensitivity, does this process create additional sensitivity? The answer is ‘No’! In fact, it is rare that anyone has any more sensitivity when they complete the process than when they first sat down. The next question we get is, is this the same as what has been seen in the malls? The answer is ‘No’, our process is much more effective with less time needed in the chair. For example, our service takes only 15 minutes and typically the average person experiences a 6 to 8 shade brighter smile! The treatment itself lasts for roughly 6 to 9 months based on a person’s lifestyle (coffee drinking, red wine drinking, smoking, etc.)

Tis The Season To Be Green… …and SAFE! W3 Lifestyle has always been committed to taking care of our community in every way we can. This was started with our W3 Cares Program, which takes a percentage of advertising sales and donates all of that money back to local charities. In addition to our own concerns, recently we have been receiving feedback from residents and communities alike expressing concern over the tremendous amount of paper and resources that we use on a monthly basis in order to provide these Newsletters to you.

It is for these reasons that W3 Lifestyle is PROUD to announce that your newsletters will be primarily electronic moving forward. Beginning in April, a limited number of smaller print issues will be available for prospects and residents without an email address. Please note that you will receive a link to your newsletter and NOT an attachment. PLEASE make sure that the leasing office has your email address(es). That is how you will receive your complete newsletter (now called Monthly Minizine), special offers and information on new services such as your Resident Appreciation Program and Social Networking Site. Atlanta’s Newest Supersized Furniture Store By David Wolfe

At first sound, The Dump, sounds like a “not so” appealing furniture store doesn’t it? Just the opposite in this case though! The Dump carries mid-grade to high end furniture all at some fantastic discounts. Personally I found a Sofa that was an absolute work of art that would typically sell for roughly $10k in your typical furniture store and The Dump price was roughly $5k. A 50% price cut! Of course that was on the high end, but even on the mid-grade end there were some quality pieces of furniture that looked fabulous at equally fabulous prices. The Dump is located in the old Home Depot location that was located right off the exit off 400 and Sydney Marcus. They did a marvelous job renovating the space and you would never know it was originally a Home Depot. This is one of the largest furniture stores I have ever seen with a selection that appeal to just about everyone. The only bad thing is that they are only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. However, at these prices – save the light bill and payroll costs during the week! I would much rather have the furniture at these great prices! No matter what you are looking for – rugs, sofas, chairs, tables, beds, accessories, whatever – The Dump has it and they have it at an extreme discount. So pick a weekend and go check it out. It’s worth the trip to see what all they have to offer.

Irish Soda Bread Ingredients 2 cups whole-wheat flour 2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 2 1/4 cups buttermilk Directions Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray and sprinkle with a little flour. Whisk whole-wheat flour, all-purpose flour, baking soda and salt in a large bowl. Make a well in the center and pour in buttermilk. Using one hand, stir in full circles (starting in the center of the bowl working toward the outside of the bowl) until all the flour is incorporated. The dough should be soft but not too wet and sticky. When it all comes together, in a matter of seconds, turn it out onto a well-floured surface. Clean dough off your hand. Pat and roll the dough gently with floury hands, just enough to tidy it up and give it a round shape. Flip over and flatten slightly to about 2 inches. Transfer the loaf to the prepared baking sheet. Mark with a deep cross using a serrated knife and prick each of the four quadrants. Bake the bread for 20 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 400째 and continue to bake until the loaf is brown on top and sounds hollow when tapped, 30 to 35 minutes more. Transfer the loaf to a wire rack and let cool for about 30 minutes.

England's "Mothering Sunday" Similar to Mother's Day, also called Mid-Lent Sunday, is observed on the fourth Sunday in Lent. Some say the ceremonies in honor of Cybele were adopted by the early church to venerate the Mother of Christ, Mary. Others believe the Mother Church was substituted for mother goddess and custom began to dictate that a person visit the church of his/her baptism on this day. People attended the mother church of their parish, laden with offerings. Also in England in the 1600's, young men and women who were apprentices or servants returned home on Mothering Sunday, bringing to their mothers small gifts like trinkets or a "mothering cake". Sometimes frumenty was served - wheat grains boiled in sweet milk, sugared and spiced. In northern England and in Scotland, the preferred refreshments were carlings - pancakes made of steeped pease fried in butter, with pepper and salt. In fact, in some locations this day was called Carling Sunday. Another kind of mothering cake was the simnel cake, a very rich fruit cake. The Lenten fast dictated that the simnel cake had to keep until Easter. It was boiled in water, then baked, and was often finished with an almond icing. Sometimes the crust was of flour and water, colored with saffron.

Tips to save $$ money $$ on your electric bill - Courtesy of Georgia Power • Use smaller lamps over work areas such as desktops so work can be done without lighting the whole room. • Turn off lights when you do not need them and use motion sensors where practical. • Wash clothes in warm or cold water and rinse them in cold water. Use hot water only when necessary. • Wash a full load at a time but do not overload. A small load in a washing machine consumes just as much energy as a full load. • When using a dryer, wait until you have a full load. Also, separate drying loads into heavy and lightweight items. The lightweight items take less time to dry, so the dryer doesn’t have to be on for as long with these loads. • Dry clothes in consecutive loads as the dryer will retain heat from the previous load. • Clean the lint filter thoroughly after each load. A clogged filter restricts the flow of air and reduces the performance of the dryer. • Don’t over dry clothes. Taking clothes out when they are slightly damp reduces the need for ironing. Over drying also causes shrinkage, shortens the life of the fabric, generates static electricity and uses more electricity.

EATING WELL ALL DAY A SOLUTION FOR WEIGHT MANAGEMENT Eating well means planning ahead, which is essential if you want to achieve or maintain weight-loss goals for the New Year. With a little knowledge and some advance planning, people everywhere can learn how to make smart food choices that will move them closer to their weight-management goals. From breakfast to dinner and snacks in between, a successful weight-management plan is the all-day, everyday solution. Those looking to manage their weight and live a more active lifestyle should consider the following tips: Break the fast: Starting your day with cereal can provide essential vitamins and minerals. Studies show that eating cereal as part of a nutritious breakfast promotes a healthy weight in both children and adults. Plan ahead: Planned snacks during your busy day can provide energy and essential nutrients. Tempted to hit that vending machine? Have lower-calorie snacks on hand. Divide your plate: Divide your plate, conquer your weight. Fill half of your plate with veggies or salad (watch those fatty dressings!). One-quarter should be lean protein-fish, chicken or beef-grilled, baked or poached. And the last quarter should be carbohydrates-but watch the butter and oil. Drink your H2O: Feeling tired or hungry? You may just be thirsty. Make sure you get plenty of water every day. Water helps your body transport nutrients and eliminate toxins. Add a cucumber or lemon slice to jazz it up. Start journaling: Keep a food journal noting what you eat, how much, when and where. Journaling can help keep you accountable and identify unhealthy patterns that may be inhibiting weight loss.
