TEMPORARY PART-TIME TEACHER AIDE (TA002)

Tully State High School has a vacancy for Temporary PartTime Teacher Aide/s in 2021, with the possibility of an extension in 2022. The position is up to 30 hours per week and will involve supporting Cook Island students, Indigenous students, Students at risk, Special Education programs and teachers in classes. Intending applicants should collect an application package (which includes a detailed position profile) from Tully State High School general office after Monday 24 May 2021. Community Support Centre Innisfail is a not-for-profit organisation that provides a variety of community and family support services to residents of the Cassowary Coast Region. Applications are sought from suitably experienced persons for the permanent part-time position of Community Engagement and Development Officer. The successful applicant would operate within community development frameworks to develop, deliver, and coordinate community responsive activities, events and projects that promote active participation, enhance social connectedness, and build community resilience. A mandatory requirement of this role is that it be filled by an Aboriginal person or a Torres Strait Islander person. In this role, you will provide educational counselling and support services within schools to ensure that the best possible assistance services are available to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children, students, families and communities. The successful applicant will provide cross cultural awareness training to the broader school community. Possession of a community/social welfare or similar degree or Diploma is highly desirable. An applicant who does not possess a Diploma or Degree is only eligible for appointment at Level 1, Step 1 with a salary of $1996.00 p.f.
