Whilst we were more than happy with what we were "doing" & "getting" our mission is, "To pioneer engineering excellence, on time with joy!" & we cannot do that by standing still.

Durban has a great new sales rep & is changing from a large, open plan office, to individual offices & work spaces, allowing better focus & less distractions, whilst still having open areas where staff can communicate & engage with each other.

Last year we looked at which changes would have the biggest impact on NCC & our customers; this year we've been making those changes. And, not just in Johannesburg, but across all three of our sites. Cape Town has moved offices, has a new storage facility & has already increased its stock levels meaning better access to the Western Cape & quicker turn

Johannesburg has the most changes with a new sales manager, Sam Greenwood, a new, on site project manager, Henk Fourie & three extra operators in the workshop, Lungi Sithole, Alfred Potlo & Ndu Mthiyane, as well as, a new draughtsman, Chris Pieterse. We're excited to be growing and look forward to providing you with our usual, GREAT service from all of our sites!

But you really can't remember, 'twas a year ago September when the guy came in to train you how to measure load and torque. And you’d chosen it in plastic, cos you knew it was fantastic But your budgets almost finished and your running low on stock!

If your sprocket isn’t working- if the load is getting high Then the answer you can fathom, is to start to MODIFY!! Metal hubs can oft' be bolted to your sprockets very large For your chain that’s used in milling with offset, OR straight side-bars. Change the shaft into a square one, so it drives on all four sides & your sprockets will be stronger as the keyway’'s nullified. Modify your idler sprockets if you want to increase speed We'll put roller bearings in them, to up load capac-it-y. As we've been going twenty years, we really know our stuff We can answer all your questions, even when they're really tough! Because plastic IS fantastic And we can help you choose which type you need to make components , whole conveyors, or just screws! Use plastic idler sprockets to reduce your noise and wear They require no lubrication (they’re the answer to your prayer) If you’ve got flat, wire, belting, sprockets from UHPE; For chemical environments- use polypropylene; For high load applications- rigid nylon, (filled with glass), but they’re porous- so are weaker than those made from nylon (cast). We can also fill the nylon up with oil- super smooth These resist creep & distortion on the keyways as they move. Teflon’s rarely used for sprockets As its cost is very high, Polyurethane is rigid But its friction coefficient and so reduces creep is THE BEST but poor impact and high friction and temps are wide! will most likely make you weep. Normal white cc600 versus NCC's " Incredible Black One" 01 Webbing was attached to just 5 links of white cc600 chain. 02 As the tyres were lifted up by the fork lift, the chain was pulled tight, horizontally, between the forks, mimicking the "pull" under normal conveyor conditions. 03 Four, 600kg tyres, lifted by 5 links of NCC's "Incredible Black One" 04 FIVE tyres or 3000kg / THREE tonnes held up by the "Incredible Black One" still without snapping! 05 Side view of the fork lift, white cc600 holding 2 tyres, 1200kg, 1,2 tonnes 06 White cc600 holds 3 tyres, 1800kg or 1,8 tonnes 07 White cc600 breaks with 4 tyres or 2400kg / 2,4 tonnes.
