The RoS badge tells you that these products will let you laugh off surprise rain showers, mist and wet roads. Now you donâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t have to compromise dry-weather breathability and comfort to add a high level of water protection. When we say Rain or Shine we mean that you can stay warm, comfortable and mostly dry in damp conditions, in road spray from the group, and even under persistent rain for an hour or so. RoS is perfect for mixed conditions that might include the occasional shower, but we donâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t sacrifice dry-weather breathability for complete impermeability. ALPHA RoS 2 JACKET — This is the ultimate winter jacket. Every detail is designed to let you ride longer and in complete comfort throughout the winter months.

D U A L L AY E R CONSTRUCTION — We invented a double-layer construction that allows you to open an outer wind-protection layer while keeping the insulation layer closed and thereby allowing airflow inside the jacket to evacuate moisture while avoiding direct contact with the skin. On a long climb we’ll completely open the outer layer to allow moisture to escape, and when we start the descent we close the outer layer and are completely dry inside.

SELECTIVE SEAM TA P I N G — Waterproof seam taping on critical seams around the shoulder together with water-resistant GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® fabric keep you dry through mist, wet roads, and even incessant light rain. Other seams are hidden out of direct water flow and with the water-repellent treatment on the fabric it’s sufficient to prevent most moisture from entering.

NEW WRIST CLOSURE — New for this year is an innovative double-layer wrist opening with an inner layer to go under your glove that seals tight to your wrist, and an outer layer that goes over your glove so that any rain will roll down the outside of the glove and not end up inside.

B A C K V E N T I L AT I O N — There are two vents on the back to let moisture and heat escape. You won’t feel any cold coming in, but they significantly help keep you drier on the inside.

SORPASSO RoS BIBTIGHT — The name of this tight, Sorpasso, means “overtaking” in Italian. That’s what we’ve tried to do with this tight, to make it a bit faster, better, more comfortable. It’s made to be technical equipment for riding in the widest range of winter conditions.

A CORE OF NANO FLEX — The main part of the tight uses our Nano Flex 3G fabric, the third generation of our nanotechnology fabric treatment that adds a high level of water repellency without affecting the breathability, stretch or warmth of the fabric. You get a highly stretchy, compressive fit that moves with you, focusing on warmth and comfort. But then we add a few panels of the Nano Flex Xtra Dry fabric to provide a bit more wind protection and warmth in the front panel and over the thighs, and in the back for extra protection from road spray.

IT’S A JACKET BUT FITS LIKE A JERSEY — We used the lightest, stretchiest fabrics we have to make a jacket that cuts out most of the wind, remains highly breathable, provides remarkably high levels of water protection, and just basically disappears so you don’t really notice it.

THIS IS A PERFORMANCE PIECE — The minimalist construction is focused on performance. There’s nothing superfluous on it, unless you consider the big reflective panel on the back to be unnecessary. We’ve given it a close-to-body fit so there’s no fabric flapping in the wind, which also helps keep the jacket warmer. MIRACLE FABRIC — The first thing you’ll notice is the stretch fit that moves perfectly with you, made possible by the Nano Flex 3G fabric, the same fabric we use to make our arm and leg warmers as well as our Sorpasso tights. We built this jacket to be warm and comfortable in those cold winter conditions. And to make you look really good doing it, so you can show that you’re not the guy suffering. We’ve used our lightweight weatherproof GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® 203 Stretch fabric layered over a separate brushed microfleece insulation layer. The cut is slightly larger so that it moves with you and you can add an extra layer for supercold conditions. We’ve built in articulated shoulders for greater ease of movement and shaped the collar to close comfortably around the neck. WHEN DUTY CALLS — This jacket is made for those days when speed and light weight are sacrificed for the most effective barrier possible against the rain and cold outside. If you’ve never had a jacket like this, you’ve never experienced the feeling of going out only because you have to and then enjoying one of the most epic days ever. We went with a heavier-weight GORE-TEX® fabric for extra durability and because we gave this jacket a little more generous cut and don’t want the fabric flapping around. But we still made it so that you can ride in an aggressive position, helped by stretch panels around the shoulders. We’ve added the same stretch panels around the wrists so that you can put it on and take it off over your Diluvio gloves, and we added stretch panels on the sides in case you load up your pockets. Even though this is an absolute extreme-conditions jacket, it can still fold up small enough to be stuffed in a jersey pocket—or, more likely, in a bag, because this jacket is a must on your next multiday adventure.

This jacket does three things really well: the Tempesta Stretch fabric provides full waterproof protection, the four-way stretch makes it fit any body type, and it looks great on and off the bike. Compared with our more expensive GORE-TEX® Idro jackets, you give up the best-in-class breathability and extreme packability, but you gain stretch fit and increased durability. We developed the fabric to our own specifications to make a jacket that is fully waterproof, comfortably stretchy, packable enough to fit in a jersey pocket, and with an appearance and hand that make it look great. This is meant to be a rain shell worn over a jersey, so we’ve forgone the external pockets and kept the construction simple to minimize seams. Ready to move up to a better cool-weather jersey? The Tutto Nano RoS Jersey features a number of upgrades compared to what you’ve probably been using. First is the stretch fit that moves perfectly with you, made possible by the Nano Flex 3G fabric, the same fabric we use to make our arm and leg warmers as well as our Sorpasso tights. This close-to-body fit actually makes the jersey warmer by avoiding fabric flapping in the wind. Second is the tighter knit of the fabric compared to traditional thermal jersey fabrics. It lets less air through so you stay warmer. Next is Castelli’s proprietary nanotechnology water-repellent finish. On dry days you won’t even know it’s there, but when you get some light rain or wet roads then you stay drier. Last is the 360° reflectivity, thanks to the panels on the shoulders and lower back. RAIN OR SHINE BIBTIGHT — Introducing Nano Flex Xtra Dry fabric. Eight years have passed since Castelli pioneered nanotechnology coatings in cycling clothing to provide a higher level of water protection without sacrificing breathability or stretch. We never stopped working on improving the fabric, and after numerous small improvements we’re ready with the first major update. The base fabric is a tighter-knit double-layer construction, and the water repellency treatment is improved to offer even more protection. We’re not quite there yet on our goal of bringing full waterproofness to a non-membrane fabric, but this is a significant improvement in making your foul-weather riding much more comfortable. This will also be your go-to tight for dry conditions. It’s a nocompromise piece for all your cool-weather riding. It’s not just about the fabric, though. This is a serious training tight, so it gets our Progetto X² Air seamless seat pad. For total protection in the high-splash area of the inner leg, we use a fully reflective waterproof fabric that adds a high degree of nighttime safety to this tight. The tight is constructed with the bare minimum of seaming, which helps keep the rain out and also makes it more comfortable. This is the best all-around tight that we know how to make with today’s technology, but we’re still working to make it obsolete as soon as possible.

The name of this tight, Sorpasso, means “overtaking” in Italian. That’s what we’ve tried to do with this tight, to make it a bit faster, better, more comfortable. It’s made to be technical equipment for riding in the widest range of winter conditions. The main part of the tight uses our Nano Flex 3G fabric, the third generation of our nanotechnology fabric treatment that adds a high level of water repellency without affecting the breathability, stretch or warmth of the fabric. You get a highly stretchy, compressive fit that moves with you, focusing on warmth and comfort. But then we add a few panels of the Nano Flex Xtra Dry fabric to provide a bit more wind protection and warmth in the front panel and over the thighs, and in the back for extra protection from road spray. It’s not only about the fabrics: anatomical patterning gives a bend at the knee and the hip, while the seamless bib straps lie flat and securely keep everything in place. Our generously padded Progetto X² Air seamless seat pad make long rides more comfortable, and you have multiple reflective panels to keep you visible. Our Sorpasso tight is our workhorse performance tight for the cyclist who rides seriously right through the winter months. With the Sorpasso Wind we add a GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® fleece-backed panel covering your most sensitive parts as well as your thigh muscles to keep them at ideal operating temperature. You could call this a “convergence” product. A few years back we pioneered the first Omloop thermal short, inspired by pro riders cutting off their knee warmers to just the bend of the knee at the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad on a brisk sunny morning. We set about making a bibshort cut right to the bend of the knee and realized that we could make it without a gripper elastic and that the extra 10 centimeters of fabric add a lot of warmth. Those first Omloop shorts were made for cool, dry conditions, like the race that inspired them, using our Thermoflex fabric. Fast-forward to 2020 and the new third generation of our Nano Flex fabric is as soft, stretchy, breathable and warm as our Thermoflex fabric, so now we can make this short ideal for cool and dry conditions, but it’s also excellent on wet days. It’s still a pro tool: this short is identical to the model supplied to Team Ineos.

INDOOR TRAINING NEVER LOOKED THIS GOOD — We made this jersey for the rigors of indoor training. The 3D Mesh fabric allows maximum airflow for cooling while the 100% polyester content means it provides maximum moisture wicking. We made it on the limit of not being too transparent in case you want to wear it for group training sessions, or if you’re using it at home and want to take it off after warming up the long zipper means it comes off easy. We put a couple of pockets on the back so you can stash your AirPods or phone or headband or whatever you haul to your training station. We’ve kept the collar low and the waist short for maximum cooling. It just happens to be a great hot weather jersey that you’ll pull back out come August.

ONE GOAL: KEEP YOUR FEET WARM — We set out to create our warmest bootie ever, which meant rethinking how booties are made. For the windproofing we went with GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® fleece-backed fabric, which also lets more moisture escape than any other windproof fabric. Then we added a second fleece layer with Polartec® Power Stretch® Pro™, which is unrivaled in overall loft. The two layers are thick enough that we had to do a “wheel well” single-layer construction by the ball of the foot to prevent the fabric from rubbing on the crank. We made the bootie high for extra warmth and gave reasonable splash protection. We recommend our Venti Soft Sock for maximum warmth.

A BETTER ARM WARMER —

With Team Ineos we set out to make a better seamless arm warmer. Others on the market are made with a nylon/Lycra® blend that tends to hold moisture, but we knew we could get better moisture management with a polyester yarn. Working with polyester makes it more difficult to get the right stretch, return and manufacturing consistency, though. It took a year longer than we thought, but we’re all glad we stuck with it. These warmers are a pro rider favorite because they’re crazy light and they’re extremely warm for their weight, yet even in milder conditions you don’t overheat. They’re so stretchy you hardly feel them on, yet when you take them off they occupy a fraction of the space that normal warmers would take in your pocket.

RAIN OR SHINE BIBTIGHT — Better in cold and dry and better in wet conditions, the new Nano Flex Xtra Dry fabric makes this your most technical tight. The base fabric is a tighter-knit doublelayer construction, and the water repellency treatment is improved to provide even more protection. We’re not quite there yet on our goal of bringing full waterproofness to a non-membrane fabric, but this is a significant improvement in making your foul-weather riding much more comfortable. It will also be your go-to tight for dry conditions, though. It’s a no compromise piece for all your cool-weather riding. But it’s not just about the fabric. This is a serious training tight, so it gets our Progetto X² Air seamless Donna seat pad. For total protection in the high-splash area of the inner leg, we use a fully reflective waterproof fabric that adds a high degree of nighttime safety to this tight. IT JUST HAPPENS TO BE GOOD IN THE RAIN TOO — Our Nano Flex 3G fabric is the result of a decade of development. It’s our best all-around fabric for winter tights: warm, stretchy, luxuriously soft, highly breathable and on top of that it features our proprietary third generation of nanotechnology water-repellent finish. While other companies are using simple chemical waterrepellent finishes, we create a nanotechnology mechanical repellency to enhance a chemical DWR finish. You stay drier and more comfortable.
