Make the Master Pattern • • • • •
Pin the parchment paper to the paper pattern Trace all the lines. This will be your master pattern Remove pins Pin the master pattern to a foam core board

Make the Templates • • • • •
Pin the freezer paper dull side up to the paper pattern Trace the pattern lines The freeze paper drawing will be cut into pieces for the templates Transfer all the numbers which are the fabrics to be used Pin the paper pattern to a foam core board

Making the Pieces •

Starting at the left top cut out the first piece from the freezer paper Fuse to the right side of your fabric, cut out ½” beyond template Place fabric wrong side down on the glue side of the SteamA-Seam Lite Fuse 3 layers together

Trimming the Piece •

Cut scan 1/8” beyond the freeze paper template so you have some seam overlap Remove the freeze paper template and pin it to the paper pattern Remove the fusible web paper Lay the fabric piece in the appropriate place on the master pattern

Piecing it together • •

Pin each fabric piece on the master pattern. Pieces will be slightly larger than the pattern so there is some overlap Continue making all the pieces

Save the Templates •

After making each piece from fabric, save the piece by pinning to the paper pattern Later you may want to change some the fabrics

Fuse to Background • • •
Remove the head from the parchment paper Fuse to a background fabric Using a white pencil crayon or white paint add little arcs to the eyes.

Add borders • • •

Add borders Layer quilt top, batting on backing Pin or use a temporary spray to hold the 3 layers together Edge stitch between the background and borders.

Stitch along the edge of each piece Echo stitch in each of the pieces
