Ceramic Rebuild is a two-part epoxide system that contains a high volume percentage of hard silicon carbide particles. When mixed, the components react and cure to form a hard, wear resistant deposit that bonds tenaciously to a wide range of metallic and rigid non-metallic surfaces. Ceramic Rebuild is designed to restore dimension to the high wear areas of parts, while providing a new surface with enhanced resistance to abrasion, erosion and cavitation. Additionally, Ceramic Rebuild is non-conductive and may be used to isolate dissimilar metals, preventing galvanic corrosion.

Ceramic rebuild is resistant to mild acids, caustics, fuels (including gasoline), salt water and a variety of solvents.

2) For large applications, combine entire contents of resin and hardener, then mix until uniform, streak-free, dark gray color is achieved. For small repairs, combine a ratio of two parts resin to one part hardener, by volume, and mix thoroughly.

3) Spread evenly over the surface with a putty knife, spatula or towel. Press the material into cracks and voids to eliminate air bubbles. Pot life is about 30 minutes at 75°F (24°C).

1) Remove oil, grease and scale from the surface to be coated. To ensure optimum adhesion, roughen by grit blasting to achieve a 0.002-0.003 inch profile. For smaller areas, roughening with a grinding wheel or course sandpaper is acceptable.
4) Post-heating with a heatgun/heat lamp held about 15”20” from the composite coating will accelerate the cure. Begin heating after the coating has gelled - about one hour after application.
