WhyTitle Brazing ?

Brazing definition Brazing is a metal-joining process whereby a filler metal is heated above and distributed between two or more close-fitting parts by capillary action. The filler metal is brought slightly above its melting (liquidus) temperature while protected by a suitable atmosphere, usually a flux. It then flows over the base metal (known as wetting) and is then cooled to join the workpieces together. Brazing is a proven method Brazed joints have been used in plumbing, air-conditioning, heating, electronics and numerous other applications for a very long time. A brazed joint will last a life time and is proven to do so. Other materials such as plastic have not been around long enough to make the same claims. Additionally, with brazing if you do not get it right the first time you can reheat the joint and repair it without having to disassemble or completely reinstall the affected parts. Brazing provides high strength joints With the proper joint design and correct selection of brazing materials, brazed joints can be stronger than the base materials being joined. To clean both surfaces to be joined, with Castonet.

To cover both surfaces with the Flux (depending on the material to be brazed).

Protect the surfaces adjacent to the brazed parts using the protective screen or CalorStop gel. Fit the pieces together, the workpieces must fit perfectly, be clean and free of grease.

Heat the surface uniformly with the Castolin Torch and Gas for quick and efficient results

At the moment you see that the flux has become transparent and liquid, Bring the Castolin rod and braze until you see that the material has completed the joining action.

MMA welding This process is used for joining as well as hardfacing. The Manual Metal Arc welding process uses as consumable electrodes which are coated with flux to create a protective atmoshpere when welding. Because of the simplicity of its equipment and operation, MMA welding is one of the worldâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s most popular welding processes. MIG/MAG welding Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding operates on the same principle as welding with covered electrodes, but using a continuous electrode in the form of solid wire or cored wire strip wound on a reel. It is the most common industrial welding process.
