Directional Drilling
The crude petroleum and natural gas industry is made up of establishments engaged in operating oil and gas field properties. Such activities include exploration for crude petroleum and natural gas; drilling, completing and equipping wells; operation of separators, emulsion breakers, distilling equipment; and all other activities incident to making oil and gas marketable up to the point of shipment from the producing property. This industry also includes mining and extraction of oil from oil shale and oil sands, and the production of gas and hydrocarbon liquids through gasification, liquefaction, and pyrolysis of coal at mine sites.

Carbide Coatings Carbide coated and ceramic sealed mud motor rotors out perform classic chrome plated mud rotors by up to X100 in the field. The Middle East has logged performance of up to 3000 hours from the same rotor. The unique ceramic sealing of the rotor means that the unit can perform in chloride concentrations exceeding 350,000 ppm.
Hard-Faced Coatings Tungsten based High Velocity Thermal Spray Coatings are used to provide unsurpassed wear and impact resistance on rock drill bit components. With hardnesses in excess of 1400 Hv (300g) and increased toughness due to ceramic sealing, retrospectively coated parts have seen double the performance of conventional manufacturing methods.
Rotating & Reciprocating Parts Thermal spray can be used to re-build and repair worn or undersized components to within original drawing dimensions with similar or identical materials. Most of the parts Monitor now repairs were original seen as scrap items by our customers. The increased and sustainable financial benefits to the customer are still being evaluated.
