DESCRIPTION: Eutectic Corporation has created an innovative new quality of alloy that outperforms standard alloys and brings a new level of quality to brazed joints. NanoTech is unique because it has tightly controlled and micron small phases of phosphorus dispersed within the brazing alloy. Phosphorus is used in copper phosphorus alloys as a temperature reducing agent as well as a “fluxing” agent. Phosphorus reacts with copper oxides and breaks down the oxides allowing copper to be brazed without flux. Any slight change in phosphorus content and position can dramatically affect the brazing results. Current norms only specify the quantity of phosphorus that should be in each alloy. The norms do not specify exactly how phosphorus should be found in the alloy. NanoTech alloys have micro phases of phosphorus that do not fume out easily or burn out in the flame. These phases stay dispersed within the alloy creating a SUPER brazing alloy.
TECHNICAL DATA: EcoBraze 38006N: A copper, phosphorous brazing filler metal. It contains no silver and is the most economical filler metal for joining copper to copper, where vibration stresses are not encountered in service. Color Gray
