THE BAL TIC SEA

St. Mar y’s Basi lica
It is the largest brick built temple in the world. It was built from 1343 to 1360 and already in 1379 more parts were started. The last brick was put down on the 28 of July 1502 at 4:00 p.m. by Master of the Teutonic Knights, Henry Hetzel. Location: Gdansk, the capital of the province of Pomerania.
FROMBORK CATHEDRAL
It was built around 1330 as a hall temple with 4 side watchtowers in the corners and a Gothic portal. It is the burial place of Nicolas Copernicus. Location: Frombork Warmia Â

Malbork Castle is the largest Gothic fortress in Europe. This castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. When visiting this wonderful monument it is worth seeing the kitchen and exhibitions in the dormitory and refectory. Location: Malbork Żuławy Wiślane
Cra ne in Gd ans k One of the oldest harbour cranes, built in 1337, it is the symbol of Gdansk. Inside you can watch shows about the Port of Gdansk. Location: Gdansk – West (Pomorze)

This is a natural region in northeastern Poland famous for its 2,000 lakes. In the Masurian Lake District tourists can go skiing, sailing and windsurfing. This was built in the sixteenth century and since that time, it has been expanded. It was the seat of the royal family, the first ruler who lived there was King Zygmunt III Vasa. Location: Warsaw.

The Palace in Wilan贸w, together with its courtyard and beautiful park with decorated fountains and sculptures, is a characteristic example of a baroque baronial mansion. The palace was the summer residence of King Jan III Sobieski. Location: Warsaw.
Poz nan City Hall
This is a beautiful Renaissance town hall. Built in 1300 on a square plan, it was a one-story building. In the fifteenth century the tower was added. The town hall in Poznan is associated with a funny story: Goats were afraid of death at the hands of the cook, and they hid in the top of the tower of the town hall. On the peninsula of the Biskupin Lake a teacher discovered the preserved remains of a Lusatian settlement that lived in the VIII century BC. Soon a part of the settlement was reconstructed. Southern Poland

The monastic church is the Basilica of the Holy Cross and Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Most of the ornaments are made of precious stones and gold, some of them are true works of art that have historical and religious significance. Location: Czestochowa Polish Jura

 The historic salt mines of Wieliczka were added to the UNESCO list in 1978. The deepest level is 327 m below the surface. During the trip it is worth looking in the grottos and chapels. The greatest of these is the Chapel of St. Kinga. Location: Wieliczka Malopolska

built on a limestone hill on the left bank of the Vistula. After a fire in 1499 Zygmunt I the Old rebuilt the Wawel Castle in the Renaissance style and added the Zygmunt Chapel. After the transfer of the Polish capital the Wawel continued to be used for coronations. Location: Crakow Malopolska

This was completed at the start of the 17th century. It was the home of the Stadnicki family (in the 17th century), then the Lubomirscy (18th and 19th centuries), then Potoccy (20th century). Each owner added to the building and changed the style. Visitors can see beautiful rooms with a rich collection of art, guns, a wonderful library, an ornamental garden and a museum of carts. TAT RA MO UNT AIN S
The Tatra Mountains are a mountain range that form a natural border between Slovakia and Poland. The Tatras are protected by law in their territory, with membership in the World Network of Biosphere Reserves of UNESCO. You can: go biking, hiking and try the local cheese called oscypek.
