The project was abandoned in March 2014 Fact: RPS Consultants had the contract for Public Relations and Client Services for the Poolbeg Project Fact: The European Commission ordered Dublin City Council to terminate it’s contract with RPS. It described the contract as ‘an illegal situation’ Fact: The contract between DCC & RPS amounted to €30 million. It was initially quoted at €8.3 million. Fact: Two former Directors of RPS Consultants now hold senior management positions with Irish Water. Fact: The former Managing Director of RPS is Jerry Grant. Mr Grant is now the Head of Asset Management at Irish Water Fact: The former head of Project Communications at RPS is Ms Elizabeth Arnett. Ms Arnett is now the Head of Communications and Corporate Services at Irish Water. Fact: Phillip Lee of Phillip Lee Solicitors worked with John Tierney on the Poolbeg Incinerator project. His firm was paid approximately €1.7 million for that work. Phillip Lee went onto be appointed to the Board of Irish
