CATHOLIC HEALTH ASSOCIATE PARKING RAMP
It was with associate safety and convenience in mind, that Catholic Health included a parking ramp facility for approximately 900 vehicles in the scope of the Administrative and Regional Traning Center project. We are pleased to be able to provide you with a modern, convenient, and safe place to park your vehicle that is connected to the building by a covered walkway.
A payroll deduction feature is provided for associate parking fees. Fees will be deducted on a pre-tax basis! Parking in the ramp is not mandatory, and information about other parking options is included in this document. Parking Fees apply to all associates who’s primary office is located in the facility AND who ELECT to park in the ramp.
The expense of providing this facility, while important, is significant - at a cost of approximately $15,000 per space. Ramp maintenance will be an ongoing expense. The construction of the ramp would not have been practical or prudent without a plan to mitigate these expenses.
The rates are based on your total CHS W-2 reported income as of December 31 each year. A mid-year increase in income that changes your fee category would not change your parking fee until the first pay period in February of the following year.
Parking fees, therefore are an economic reality for Catholic Health. In the interest of fairness, as we assess fees, we have developed an income-based fee structure to help proportionally minimize the impact on associates who have not previously had to pay to park.
Parking rates are established on a three-year basis. Every three years, management will examine the rates to see if they remain adequate while minimizing potential impact on associates. The initial rates will be locked in for 3.5 years.
