Difference between custom/ made to measure and bespoke suit? Pattern: The custom tailored suit comes with the benefit of an altered fit. Like when you visit a store instead to pick up a suit you like, you give your measurements and the choice of cloth and style. Then what you will get is your custom suit fitting perfectly to your body type on the same pattern you liked. Bespoke suits, on the other hand, will use a new pattern instead of the standard pattern. No pre-existing pattern is used as the base pattern. In fact, everything starts from scratch and a new unique pattern is designed from the client measurements.
Fittings: The custom tailored suits usually they take one or two fitting for designing a draft. They take a second fitting when the suit is designed. However, you can generally make the adjustments if a measurement is wrong or you otherwise just want a modification. For Bespoke suits, multiple fittings are taken as there is no base or standard pattern. The fittings may make the process bit complicated but still greatly enhances quality. The fittings are more over the revisions on the original draft.

Fabric For custom suits, you will typically be able to choose between the selected fabrics from one or two mills. Using from just one or two options are available, impacts the fabrics, cost, and quality. For bespoke suits, you enjoy a wider selection of mills, between 8–10 mills or sometimes even more, from where fabrics are chosen. More mills mean more fabrics to choose from including the high-end ones.
Cost: A custom suit does not include much effort, time and limited options, so the average price is more affordable and usually is between $500 to 1000. Bespoke suits range somewhere between $2000 to 3000 because of the number of fittings they take, the labor involved, the time taken and options for the fabric you get to choose from. To select between these two, the choice is all yours. The difference is just the cost and the quality of work. If you want something quick and affordable then you should go for the custom tailored suits for sure. But if the cost and time taken is something you are not concerned about then try the bespoke suits.
