REGISTRATION AND UPDATED EPD’S All cattle will be registered in the American Simmental Association or American Angus Association unless otherwise stated. Please note that EPD’s may change from the time the sale catalog is printed until registration paper is transferred.

CONDITIONS OF SALE All animals will be sold in accordance with suggested guidelines of the American Simmental Association and American Angus Association. Unless other conditions are stated in this catalog.

LIVESTOCK INSURANCE Livestock mortality insurance will be available sale day. We encourage buyers to insure their purchases.

TRUCKING

$50 off bulls (only) hauled sale day. If purchaser requests at time of settlement, we will assist in making delivery of bulls. Free delivery, on $3,000 purchases, within 200 miles to central sale barns or other agreed upon locations is available, if requested. Free delivery will be at Cow Camps convenience and will begin March 21st. We cannot guarantee free delivery after April 1st. Long distance hauler's are available and Cow Camp will assist in coordinating a least cost option on non-qualifying purchases. Trucking on all female lots is at buyers expense.

FEEDING ARRANGEMENTS If Bulls are not taken sale day they will be left at Cow Camp and fed for no charge until April 1st. We will keep your bulls for $2/day after April 1st. We will not be responsible for accidents to cattle kept at the ranch after the sale. The bulls become your property when they are sold. We suggest you insure your purchase.

BREEDING GUARANTEE All bulls will be fertility tested and guaranteed to be breeders. All bulls are guaranteed for 100 days from date of sale for fertility. We will replace the bull or issue credit to another bull purchase. Please contact us before culling the bull. We cannot guarantee bulls against injury or death loss, so we recommend insuring your bulls.

DISCOUNTS Any individual buying 5 bulls will receive a 5% discount if the average purchase price is at least $2000.

RETAINED SEMEN INTEREST The bull buyer will receive full possession, 100% salvage value, and 1/2 semen interest of any bull purchased in this sale while Cow Camp Ranch will retain 1/2 semen interest in these bulls. This semen interest is a royalty interest that entitles Cow Camp to 1/2 of the revenues of any semen sold. Cow Camp’s retained semen interest remains even if the bull, or any interest in the bull, is sold to a third party. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that Cow Camp’s interest is upheld if semen is ever sold. The buyer must also inform any third party of Cow Camp’s interest if the bull is ever sold. Cow Camp will not be responsible for expenses related to semen collection or promotion of any bull purchased. Unless a mutual agreement is reached for these expenses prior to semen collection. This video will be shown during the auction as well. Bulls WILL NOT go through the sale ring on sale day. Bulls may be easily viewed in their pens prior to the sale. We encourage you to come early. If you are not accustomed to a video auction, past buyers have suggested you make several extra selections while looking through the bulls in person in case you don’t get your top choices. That way you can be more confident in your next choices. We feel by having a video auction it allows for a less stressful environment for the bulls as well as the sales staff and will facilitate a smoother sale with a faster load out. One main large video display will be in the sale ring with several smaller TV’s surrounding the sale ring for closer viewing. Bidding will be done to the auctioneer as usual. Our sale ring will be heated and we will begin serving lunch at 11:00 a.m. ADDITIONAL BIDDING METHODS Special Tele-Conference Bidding — For those buyers unable to attend the sale and do not have access to high speed internet, you may place your bids over a tele-conference line. Color and Poll Descriptions Homo Polled (Homozygous Polled) — This means the animal does not carry the horned gene. You can expect 99.9% of the calves to be polled. Homo Black (Homozygous Black) — This means the animal does not carry the red gene. You can expect 99.9% of the calves to be black when mated to a non-diluted red or black cow. Hetero Polled (Heterozygous Polled) — This means the animal is polled but does carry one horned gene. There is a probability they will sire horns if mated to cows carrying the horned gene. Hetero Black (Heterozygous Black) — This means the animal is black but does carry one red gene. You can expect 50% black calves when mated to non-diluted red cows. DB (Double Black) — This means that both parents are black. There is a good chance that they could be homozygous black. DP (Double Polled) — This means that both parents are polled. There is a good chance that they could be homozygous polled. NDR (Non-Diluted Red) — This means that the dilution gene is not present. If mated to a heterozygous black animal all calves will be red or black. If mated to a homozygous black animal all calves will be black. DR (Double Red) — This means that both parents are red.
