Welcome to the sale...
It has been written “THERE IS A TIME FOR EVERYTHING”. For us, after nearly 30 years of continuously expanding our herd of Gelbvieh cattle, we have made a major decision to downsize our herd. We are not leaving the business, but simply downsizing. We have decided the best path for us is to offer a top shelf group of heifers for sale. We are offering at this sale every heifer we bred in 2019 that is carrying an A-I sired calf. We are not holding any back. This is the only way we feel we can present an offering and not have anyone assume we are holding the best animals back. This group was synchronized and A-I bred the same day. All animals were pregnancy ultra-sounded with fetal age and sex confirmed by Mandan Veterinary Clinic on 8/26/2019, 88 days after breeding. Using a 285 day gestation period, approximate due date is March 10, 2020. All service sires used have sired calves from heifers in our program. Breeding details are found in the catalogue. Some of these heifers are ET calves, several have dam of merit and Dam of Distinction mothers. All are herd builder quality. All heifers were bred and raised by us. Nearly every heifer has several generations of females that have worked in our herd, behind them. Over the years our bred heifers have been accepted by many breeders. We have placed bred females from Washington state to Alabama, and Canada to Mexico and many places between. Many breeders have become repeat buyers. We have worked hard to create a reputation for honest hard working females that will adapt to many environments. Our mission is and has been, “TO PROVIDE GENETICS THAT HELP INCREASE OUR CUSTOMERS’ PROFITS.” When you look at the pictures and videos keep in mind these heifers came off summer native grass on Thursday, October 31, were clipped the next day, Friday, and videoed and photographed on Saturday. We did not cull any animals because of body condition. Other than grass, only free choice minerals and salt were given to these animals during the grazing season. We feel they have grown well and are in great body condition. To help in your selection, we have a tool chest full of tools for you. Sale Cattle Viewing
All sale cattle will be available for viewing at Kist Livestock Auction on Friday, December 6 until sale time. If you wish to view sale offering prior to December 6 please contact Doug Hille to view the cattle at the ranch.

All cattle sell with a valid health certificate that will allow shipment anywhere in the continental United States.

All registrations on the animals selling are in order and will be transferred to the new owner. Registrations will be processed by the AGA and should be to the new owner in 45-60 days.
