T-Heart and L-Cross
Female Sale
1:00 pm || December 7, 2019 || LaGarita, CO
This will be one of the largest offerings of altitude adapted females you will find. The older cow groups have been proven producers and have faced every challenge our environment offers. Their offspring make up the younger bred groups and the open heifers, which are all daughters of T-Heart PAP tested bulls, adding more generations of high-altitude adaptability. We are confident that these will be a great addition to any herd, or a good base to start a new herd. At preg check they were given Vision8 + Somnus, Virashield 6+VL5, Ivomec, and their first dose of Scourbos 9. Lots 4 and 5 are consigned by Rusk Ranches in Westcliffe, CO, at over 8,000 ft elevation. The Rusk family has maintained a closed herd since 1946 raising mostly Red Angus cross for the past 30 years. Red SimAngus™ was introduced 10+ years ago. Their focus has been on maternal traits, achieving close to 90% conception rates in a 45-day breeding season. Only PAP tested herd bulls are used with a score of 41 or less. The Rusk heifers were all synchronized, bred, summered, and managed together with our L-Cross heifers.
WITH OUR LOWEST ELEVATION ON THE RANCH AT 7,680 FT, IT’S NO WONDER WE CAN SAY WE HAVE “True High Altitude Cattle”.

We have made this decision to disperse our entire commercial SimAngus™ herd so that we can devote all our time and effort to increasing and improving our registered herd. We want to offer you only the best high-altitude genetics that we can produce. This will give you, our customers, a better and greater selection of registered bulls and females for our future production sales. We have every intention of being your source of True High-Altitude genetics for years to come. If you have any questions about the sale offering or our program we would love to visit with you. Sincerely, Shane and Beth Temple
