THAT IS FULL POSSESSION ALONG WITH 100% OF THE SEMEN RIGHTS. In past years Gateway, like many seedstock producers, has retained a percentage of the semen rights on all of the bulls marketed, but for 2022 no semen interest will be retained. We believe when our customers compete to purchase our genetics, that confidence and investment should be rewarded with the ownership in its entirety. Thanks again to our many Gateway customers, both old and new for their continued support of our program. Gateway will reserve the right to collect 200 units of semen for in herd use at Gateway’s expense and at the buyer’s convenience.
Calving Interval This year we intentionally pushed calving dates by a week to 10 days in order to better suit environment and labor around sale. Consequently, calving intervals are slightly higher due to that management decision.
Gateway can help with your feeder calf sales.
Are you happy with your feeder calf marketing program? If you are, stay with what you are doing. If not, we have options. Logan Butcher has been marketing cattle on Superior Livestock for six years now and we are confident he can do good job of representing your cattle. His partnership with Allied Feeding Partners and the Clint Berry Marketing Group allows us to have nationwide service for feeder calf and bred-stock marketing. In 2019, they marketed well over ten thousand head, many times topping the market on the big Superior summer sales. They have found that there is a significant market for Gateway sired replacement heifers in addition to the already huge demand for cross-bred feeder cattle. Both Logan, Clint and the rest of the rep team are improving their contact list each year. Logan 406-350-1417. Clint 417-844-1009.
