Welcome We began our venture into the Simmental business with one major focus. We wanted to surround ourselves with great people and the best cow families known in the breed at the time. We were fortunate to own a family farm in Jefferson, Georgia that gave us home base to operate out of. With two young children at the time and a passion for the Junior Livestock program, we wanted to tie into cattle with correct structural makeup and worlds of eye appeal. Our idea was to bank on the best cow families we could afford and make good looking cattle to build our kids a herd to pick their show calves out of. The philosophy is still the same at C and C Farms. Now that our children are young adults and their junior career has expired, we are sharing our cattle with the world. It means the most to us to watch other youngsters succeed with our prefix. In 2004, a major chapter of our story began to unfold. At the Sunset View Farms Production Sale, in Auburn, Kentucky, we made the purchase of a lifetime. A solid black yearling female with a great structure and the silhouette to build on was purchased that day for $2700. That female was SVF Sheza Fantasy N906. She was a HC Power Drive 88H daughter from the Sheza Lady J900 donor. Over the next decade, Fantasy would take our program to another level. She had the ability to produce the style that we were looking for in a maternal and practical package. To date, Sheza Fantasy has 97 progeny recorded with the ASA. The mating that launched our business was SVF Built Right on Sheza Fantasy. Many of you know the result of that mating created females that may have been ahead of their time. Miss CCF Sheza Looker went on to become a National Junior Show Champion Purebred Female for Steven Cooper. Macy Favorite had huge success at the Simmental Breeders Sweepstakes with Miss CCF Sheza Bandit. Miss CCF Sheza Babe U2 was another high profile female of the same lineage. Little did we know on that spring day in Kentucky that Fantasy would fulfill many of our dreams. She literally turned a fantasy into reality.
Miss CCF Sheza Looker would propel our future by producing two phenomenal females in the same year. Miss CCF Sheza Bonnie Y61 and Miss CCF Sheza Dreamer Y62 would be the building blocks for the next chapter at C and C Farms. It is only fitting that in the first full fledge production sale at C and C Farms that we would offer these wonderful females to the public. The combined total gross revenue for Bonnie and Dreamer progeny is over $500,000, and both donors produce a basket full of embryos. The common denominator behind these two donors is they create high quality cattle with value. Turn the page to the year 2010 and our percentage Simmental program would get a boost from a rocket. That rocket would be a young Angus heifer we purchased for Cindy to show named, JAS Jestress 9015. The Jestress tribe has been the most successful show team that we have ever experienCE. No matter the choice of sire 9015 has produCE cattle that have won purple banners on all levels. Jestress 9015 has painted the exact picture we were trying to sketch. She can produce cattle with undeniable style, overwhelming class, perfect structure, great lower rib shape and the balance and look necessary to win big. Her daughters have been scattered all over the southern United States and get the job done. The story of 9015 continues to unfold. Some of her finest achievements are selling on March 23rd. We encourage you to add a chapter to your story with Jestress 9015 genetics. She has created memories for many of our great friends and loyal customers. As we continue the journey of C and C Farms, we want to share with you our fruit. Our focus remains constant, and our genetics have proven to do more than winning titles. Our true pleasure is to watch the females that have won big or small turn into wonderful breeding pieces for their owners. Time flies when you are having fun. What a true statement at our place. It is a pleasure for Holly and I to be involved with C and C Farms and the entire crew. This Inaugural Production sale has been in the works for quite a while. Dwight and his family have a Vision and it is definitely CLEAR. Their plans, ideas and philosophies have been constant since the beginning. They have created livestock with a good base and fundamental skeleton. They have created cattle with the look that catches attention. They have concentrated on cow families. Like many of us in the business, they dove hard into embryo transfer to mass produce the great ones. Sound, good looking and practical with a proven maternal history equals the C and C style. As an outsider looking in, I wish to portray my view of the C and C Vision. I have had the pleasure to watch many youth in our region of the country exhibit their C and C branded females. There are magnitudes of banners that have been hung by Jestress, Looker, Fantasy, Bonnie, Dreamer, Dew The Stroke, and Elsa daughters. The true testament is beginning to shine. Several females that were purchased directly from C and C Farms are now producing the next generation of champions. To be successful I believe your customers must obtain success. The light is shinning brighter than ever on the next generation of C and C genetics. When you begin to watch females like Miss CCF Jestress B79, who had a brilliant show career, raise a champion the light gets stronger. The young lady and her family that owns B79 with the C and C tribe could easily pay for her college tuition in the future. Raising kids in a hard working environment and spending time with the family is the purpose of show calf projects. The animal is just our ticket to get us together. But when the animal that has been maticously mated for generations succeeds in the breeding pasture, the real fun begins. Dwight, Sandy, Steven, Carly, Cindy, and the entire extended C and C Family wish to help you procure a project that will excel in raising cattle that can win and produce winners. That is the VISION and IT is CLEARLY attainable. On March 23rd, 2019, we welcome everyone to the new C and C Sale Facility. The place has been in the dream stages for years but is now reality. The facility and landscape is a beautiful sight. The mature cattle have proven themselves multiple times. The young show heifer prospects are the deepest set we’ve assembled. The two year old cow calf pairs are to die for, and the genetics are an accumulation of years of hard work. We are very thankful to have partners in this venture. Without the support of those around us we wouldn’t have been able to pull this event off. The construction crew has been wide open getting the barn ready. It has been said it takes an army to raise a child. I believe that to be 100% the truth. This event is like a child it just takes two armies to bring it to life. Thank you to everyone involved. Here is an exciting opportunity in this event. This two-year old Pilgrim daughter out of the famed Bonnie cow is working her heart out. On picture day she was worried about her baby and was a little more difficult to get to pose with the sun. The first progeny we saw that were raised by Moriondo and Wallace out of the Yolanda Y658 female had us conviCE we needed to use some Halftime. Where to start on this heifer? We try not to get crazy excited/wrapped up in heifers this age. We all know they change daily, however this one seemed to hit us from the day she was born and hasn’t stopped.
