Attention mates, here is a heifer with some new purebred Santa Gertrudis genetics from Australia! At the 2019 World Congress, we made a trade with David Greenup of Rosevale Santa Gertrudis - semen from our Hefte Ranch D25 bull exchanged for straws from Rosevale Jethro J208 and Rosevale Jackaroo J566. We were very impressed with Rosevale’s emphasis on fertility in their cattle. K169 is a cross between Rosevale Jethro J208 and Hefte Ranch A43 “Allie”. Our A43 cow line has been very successful for us and is very influential in our herd. With these genetics, we expect fertility, growth and easy-fleshing ability. This heifer’s EPDs are not accurate as her sire does not have any additional representation in our breed’s database.

LOT 37 - HEFTE RANCH K144 ET

This ET heifer is a daughter of Harris Guns Up 253F14, a donor we own jointly with Strait Ranches. Her sire is D25 son, Hefte Ranch F60, owned by Wiley Ranch. There is tons of growth in these genetics along with fertility and carcass. Her ET sib, Hefte Ranch K147, one of this year’s top gaining bulls is Lot 90 in Friday’s bull sale. She boasts eight traits in the top 25%, with top 4% WW and top 5% YW.
