SR Ms Marksman ET 621/J9 is certainly a favorite at Strait Ranches as she has both an elite phenotype and genotype. She is a full sister to Avery Strait’s 621/J12 show heifer that was Reserve Grand Champion at the Cattleman’s Congress Open Show. 621/J9 is an ET daughter of SR Marksman 33/19 and out of the Briggs 621F6 donor cow. We lost the 621F6 donor cow in 2021 but her offspring continue to rise to the top. This heifer is a maternal sister to the our high selling bred heifer in last year’s sale, SR Ms Uno ET 621/J4, that sold to Carleton Farms and Bended Steel for $17,000. This bred heifer has 8 EPDs that rank in the Top 20% or better and excellent yearling scan data with ADJ IMF of 6.36 (Ratio 109) and ADJ REA of 9.02 (Ratio 105).

SR MS MPact ET 654/J10 is another elite female sired by the SR Mpact 30/F2 bull owned by Vesper Ranch and out of the SR 97/18 donor cow who has a 369 day average calving interval after 3 natural calves. We love the SR Mpact 30/F2 daughters so much that we have started buying some of them from other breeders. We have tried to stack this sale with females out of some of our most proven cow lines and 97/18 is one of our best producing cows. Look for this female’s maternal sibs in this sale, SR Ms Uno 654/K2 and SR GUNS UP ET 654/J8. This heifer is a full sibling to our open heifer that topped our 2021 sale purchased by Wiley Ranch and Quail Valley Farms. With 6 EPDs in the Top 30% or better and excellent set of indices this heifer is a sound investment.
