Welcome to the sale
Welcome to the 3rd Ladies of Windy Knoll Online Female Sale! We would like to start off by saying that we are truly humbled and thankful that we have the opportunity to be apart of an industry that we love amongst breeders that inspire and support us. A massive thank you to all of the breeders from across the country that showed interest, bid, or bought females in our second annual sale. We’ve had great feedback and hope that they continue to thrive in their new homes. Chasing this dream wouldn’t be possible without your support!
We continue to be very grateful for technology as we are in an area that doesn’t have huge numbers of cattle or cattlemen and one that’s not as easy to just pop in for a tour. DLMS and social media allows us to be able to reach a bigger audience and offer these elite genetics that we’ve been building on to fellow breeders. We strive to be transparent and represent them to you as close as what they would be if you were to come for a tour.
Cow families are something that we have always focused on but have really been building on them the last 8 years, adding new and continually improving old. Added cow families include: RF Flirt 824F, SVS Sadie 818F, RF Flirt 034H, LRX Cheyenne 14U, Blacksand Linette 854U and RF Deva 92L.
When I was younger, every Saturday morning Gramp would pull up to the barn for his weekly cattle economic debriefing, not long before he passed away one of those conversations was about quality over quantity, it has stuck with me ever since. We don’t have a huge offering, but it sure is a strong one! That’s where the quality over quantity comes into play. The quality amongst these females runs deep. We’ve selected females from the heart of our herd that we are confident that will go out and work for you and make tremendous cows and would happily keep any of them ourselves. The headliner to the Fullblood section is an exciting Bar 5 SA Harrach
bred heifer that has front pasture brood cow written all over her and one that we are confident will have a big impact on a program. Our blacks on offer are some of the most exciting heifers that we have raised to date and they are headlined by a couple of blaze faced RF Caliber daughters that are backed by a big time producing Broker dam who will be entering our donor program in the spring. The reds are ones that won’t disappoint, with a WKF Flirt 24J daughter selling whose full brother was Supreme Bull Calf at Expo Boeuf in Victoriaville,Quebec this fall. She comes from a long line of maternal power going all the way back to her Great Granddam, RF Flirt 434B, which is a full sister to RF Merchant. A powerhouse baldie LRX Cheyenne 14U granddaughter sired by the exciting outcross RF No Limits bull also sells! We truly believe that all of these females will make unique breeding pieces and each have something different to bring to the table.

Next Level 38M might just be one of the coolest females that we have raised so far! The only reason she’s selling is because we have a full sister that we have in the keeper pen. She’s upheaded, hairy, has beautiful teat placement and screams take me to town. Her Broker dam knocks it out of the park every single time and will enter our donor program in the spring. Her Crocket grand dam is an absolute tank of a cow and is still in production. In fact, she gave us a full sister to 38M’s dam this year! Xia 35M is my kind of female, she’s a super soggy, stout, attractive made female that is going to make one heck of a power cow! The Xia cow family is one that we love here and this heifer was exactly what we were hoping for when we mated her RF Merchant dam to RF Capacity. She carries her power throughout while standing on an exceptional foot and her teat size and placement is near perfect. We can’t wait to see what this female goes on to produce! Here we have a female that is smooth made, powerful, and attractive in a moderate package. We have used a lot of Westcott in our herd over the years and absolutely love the females that he has left us with, he stamps them all very similar and you can pick them out a mile away. Outlaw Breaker is also a bull that we used a bunch and he gave us soggy made, good uddered girls. Her Breaker dam is a moderate framed, easy keeping cow that raised a fancy WKF Fully Loaded heifer as her first calf that sold in last year’s offering to Jo-Dreen. Flirt 121M is smokin’! She is definitely one that grabs your attention when you walk through the pen. She’s super long, awesome haired, prowls around like a cat on a perfect foot structure, with a great temperament to boot! Her and her flushmates have been standouts from birth and we weren’t quite sure if we wanted to let one go but wanted to have a Flirt in the offering so decided to let the fancier heifer go. Diluter Free. Lola 90L is the youngest bred on offer and one that we appreciate more and more as time goes on. She’s a very correct, moderate framed, deep bellied female that appears to be setting down a beautiful udder. When I toured Rancier Farms back in 2016 and saw LRX Cheyenne 14U in the flesh I knew I needed to own something out of her. When the opportunity came up to purchase her embryos out of the March Madness Sale I jumped at it. Cheyenne 41L’s dam, WKF Cheyenne 34G is a result of those embryos and the one that kind of got us started chasing the embryo deal. She has turned into an absolute tank of a cow that mirrors her LRX Cheyenne dam so much. This past summer I toured L A Ranch and got to see RF No Limits in the flesh alongside some of his progeny. He’s as long as a freight train and stands on an exceptional foot! Cheyenne 41L is quite the deal when you study her pedigree and pulls the goods from both sides. She has an excellent hair coat, is the dark red that we all chase, deep ribbed and is as long spined as you can make one! Flirt 24J is exactly what we hoped for when we mated our leading donor, RF Flirt 824F to Westcott. She is a massive bodied female, stands on an awesome foot and has an impeccable udder. If you love easy doing and efficient cows as much as we do than Flirt 24J is for you. We sure are glad that we chose to flush her to the son of the great Sammie donor cow, SVS Rancher as we have a phenomenal set of flushmates on the ground and wish we would’ve put more in for 2025. The full sib heifer to these embryos that sells in this offering is one that ticks all of the boxes and one that we believe will go on to be a big time producer for whatever program she ends up in. The bulls are all very consistent, dark red, big hipped, super soggy, move around like jungle cats stalking their prey on a perfect foot and have that herd sire look to them already. Ladies of Windy Knoll DLMS FARMGATE TIMED AUCTION
HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DLMS FARM GATE TIMED AUCTION WITH EXTENDED BIDDING
1. Visit dlms.ca and follow the link to the DLMS Farm Gate timed auction site www.farmgatetimedauctions.ca, click the LOGIN/REGISTRATION button. First time users will select the REGISTER button from this page. Fill out the registration form to signup for a free user account and it allows you to select a username and password for use on all Farm Gate Timed auctions. This program will send you text and email messages whenever there is activity on your favorite lots or someone challenges your proxy bid and this is why you will be asked for both your current email and cell phone number. If you are a past participant in the Farm Gate Timed auctions simply enter your username and password to continue. This takes you to a list of both current and upcoming Farm Gate Auctions.
2. You can choose your favourite lots in this sale at this time and the program will allow you to open either all sale lots or just your favorite lots on your screen. Any time there is active bidding on a lot you have identified on your favorite list you will get a text and/or an email noting this activity.
3. The program allows you to place a proxy bid on any sale lot. This in fact protects your interest in any lot of interest for you to a specified dollar value you set, when you may not be able to give 100% attention to the sale. If the lot has a $2000 bid on it and you place a proxy bid of $3500 into the system, the computer will bid $2100 for you but if some one else bids $2200, the computer will again bid for you, this time at $2300. The system will look after your interest to a maximum of $3500. If another bidder is on at $3600, your proxy will no longer be effective and you will no longer have the winning bid on this lot without once again logging in and bidding again or moving your attention to a second lot of interest.
4. At closing time of the sale the entire sale will extend bidding if a bid is placed on any lot in the sale. Any bid received after close time will extend the sale by the time listed on each sale. In Most cases the time gets shorter the longer in to extended bidding the sale is. When no bidding occurs for the extended time the computer will declare the sale finished.
5. Following the sale the Owner or Sale Manager will invoice all buyers in the sale, please contact the seller with questions or to arrange delivery, pick up or shipping of your purchases.

What Is Racehorse Style Sale Close? Racehorse style sale close is when the entire sale stays open in extended bidding. This type of sale allows you as the bidder to change to a different lot within the same sale if the bidding has gone in to extended bidding.
How Will Extended Bidding Work? When we get to the close out end time the clock for close extends with any bid placed with less than 5 min on the clock. This type of extended bidding turns the end time to more of a soft time. Extended bidding allows bidders to compete in lots like a real auction and give all bidders the same time to make a decision. Always follow the clock to see how much time remains in the sale you are interested in.
