It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Inaugural First Class, Diamond Shorthorns & Guests Bull & Female Sale. We have wanted to host a bull sale at the farm for a few years now. Thanks to our sale partners Diamond Shorthorns, our guest consignors and the ability to acquire some great genetics it has finally became a reality. I'd like to personally thank everyone that has trusted in us to allow this sale to happen.
The offering we have is placed before you in my mind is nothing short of fantastic. The bulls are the right kind. Stout, big middled, sound and hairy. They have been developed and fed to not only go out and work for you, but to last. We are extremely proud of this group and we stand behind them 100 percent. The purebred females are really something special. This is quite a set and I believe you would have to wear out a brand new pickup driving around the country to find a group to match them. These heifers are taken off the top of our selected replacement pens so please buy with confidence. Our good friends at Peckover Farms also have 10 open commercial females on offer that have been selected right off the top of their replacement pens. With all this being said, the offering is the very best that all the consignors have to offer, the way it should be!
The cattle are all housed at First Class and are available to be viewed at anytime. Shoot me a text to set up an appointment, we don't get too far from the yard this time of year so should be able to accommodate almost any schedule. When I first came across Gilman’s All In 6K I knew he was the bull that I had been searching for and I needed to find a at to own him. I immediately got on the phone to try and put a deal together and when sale day came the hammer dropped with our name on him! When he finally arrived in Canada he was even better than expected. His tremendous muscle sale and length along with a massive foot and large scrotal made him the breeding package we needed along with being perfect headed, nice fronted and having an unbelievable set of EPD’s behind him makes him an elite sire in the shorthorn breed.
Fast forward 2 years and he was named the National Grand Champion Bull, the Canadian Western Agribition Grand Champion Bull and the World Champion Bull. Our second set of calves are hitting the ground and are extremely impressive. All In 6K truly lives up to his name and is a bull that you will want to go “All In” on.
On offer is a lifetime breeding share. Buyers will receive unlimited in herd semen for life. This share cannot be split and shares and cannot be utilized on any partnership cattle. Safe Word is very soft made and deep middled, big volumes, sound footed and extremely attractive. Combining the perfect amount of calving ease, maternal strength and power we feel he is a bull that is going to leave a very positive mark on the breed. Aviator 106M could be the absolute best bull in the sale based on paper alone. Being sired by the infamous Aviator 503X and out of Blenview Glamorous Annie who was the $45,000 CWA high seller he is a pedigree that most of us can only dream of. 106M though is more than just royally bred. We love the look, structure, head, and overall soundness of Mötley CrüeH. He has an 88lbs unassisted BW. He’s got performance with an October 10 weight of 987lbs. If you want to add length and scale, this bull deserves a serious look. As a full brother to Diamond Hendrix 2H and a paternal brother to JSF Springsteen 183K, the guesswork is being removed. This rugged, big bodied,
bull proves calving ease is about shape more than BW. He was born unassisted in under 30 minutes and was up and sucking within minutes. We are so keen on this bull that we had initially intended to retain him for his multiple exceptional traits. Diamond Finest Maid 34F is a functional, widetopped female with the high quality we strive for here at Diamond.
A roan, stouter made son of Diamond Hendrix 2H. His CED puts him in the top 5% of the breed. This bull received significant consideration for our showstring last fall. He is good and has been a calf talked about since birth. His maternal grandsire is the great Diamond Belvedere 29B, who also sired the female that produced the Supreme Champion Bull at Brandon Ag EX 2021 Hatfield Andrew 71H.
Montgomery has scale crushing performance, big foot, and sound structure while oozing eye appeal. His granddam, Six S April 55A, has been the best producing cow in my herd., 55A’s daughter and sons elevate my program to the next level. TGN Eileen 3E is an outstanding JSF Addicted 82U granddaughter. His sire, Diamond 2 nd Hubback 38H, is one of the most impressive bulls out of a front pasture cow at Diamond Shorthorns. You’d be hardpressed to find a better set of EPDs this season with 11 out of 12 above-average traits. Montgomery is the ultimate breeder bull with a unique pedigree and an outcross to many programs.
Every mating here at the farm comes with the maternal side in mind, not just making sure the dam checks as many boxes as she can, but the but the sire also does. 15F is a genetic snapshot of the New View program all in one bull. 16M is an incredibly eye-appealing roan bull with calving ease to burn. He is out of the legendary Minnie cow family, which came from Alberta herds such as Butterfield Shorthorns and Diamond Shorthorns. This bull’s dam combines Six S April 55A through TGN General 19G, a top son I recently decided to bring back to TGN Shorthorns as his offspring are outstanding. He also has several more genetic powerhouses in his pedigree, such as Weebollabolla Theodore T85, Butterfield Lady 13N, Eionmor Cheiftan 45Y, Diamond Lord Belmore 56B ET, and many others.
A bull we would use with confidence in our own herd. His sire has produced several sound replacement females in our herd, and his grandsire Muridale Robert 35U is known for calving ease. His dam is consistent with moderate birthweights on her offspring and her 1st daughter is calving this year.

If you are seeking a solid red, polled, wide-topped herd sire with a $CEZ in the top 20% of the breed, $BMI in the top 20%, and $F in the top 30%, 37M needs to be on your list. If you are looking for a standout bull whose dam is a tremendous young Royalla Rockstar K274 daughter and sired by Diamond 2nd Hubback 38H. 2nd Hubback 38H is an outstanding bull out of great producing daughter of Crooked Post Grissom 24T and sired by the phenotypically phenomenal Diamond Belvedere 29B.
Malcolm is at the top of the breed for $CEZ, $BMI, and $F. With his actual performance matching his EPDs and the markets being what they are, one would be wise to look at this maternally bred performance bull that isn’t compromising on Calving Ease or Maternal Calving Ease. Daughters will be top-producing brood cows, with my favorite cow being his granddam. His sons will be scale-crushing, which in today’s market is a license to print money.
Magnitude is sired by one of the most phenotypically impressive sires and is out of a female who originated in the Paintearth Shorthorn program; she combines the influence of world-renowned herds such as Matlock Shorthorns and Eionmor Shorthorns. This younger bull is jampacked with genetic potential.
Only an April-born bull who combines my favorite female line, which is highly prolific originating from the Six S herd. Sired by a bull I actively sought as he carries traits that will shape the future of cattle production. Marcus also has these traits such as fleshing ability, soundness, and flexibility to be mated in many ways. Ringleader is a bull that everyone will remember. He was campaigned alongside the $45,000 Blenview Glamorous Annie and then went on to be a favourite and high seller at the Canadian Premier Sale. Through some unexpected events that turned out to be fortunate in the end he ended up in our herd. We have used him 2 breeding seasons now and with out very small herd it is time to move on. Ringleader is without out a doubt the fastest maturing, highest growth and most powerful shorthorn bull we have ever laid eyes on. A full brother to Diamond Hendrix 2H, whom we appreciated enough to be used last summer at TGN Shorthorns. 100L is the only Simmental Bull on offer but he is a very good representation of the Simmental breed. He was used on commercial heifers and cows last year and bred extremely well. His mother has been a top cow and is in the herd now being utilized in our Shorthon Plus program. Knay Knay 56M was an absolute fan favourite this fall when she was shown alongside her mother. This female has the most potential of any heifer calf we have ever seen at this age. Females like this do not come around very often so we wanted to share a piece of her with someone that appreciates her genetic package as much as we do. This is a donor in the making and a future matron of the Shorthorn breed. She is extremely stout and big volumed, yet elegant feminine and beautiful headed. Karma 1M is a heifer that I’ve really liked since birth. She is dark cherry red, extremely hairy and feminine made. Her mother was campaigned very successfully as a calf and 1M is on track to follow in her mother footsteps and a great potential show heifer and then brood cow.
19M is a heifer that will definitely turn some heads sale day. Sired by the great Redneck clubby bull and being out of a cow that is known for raising champion show steers, she is a top choice for a show heifer prospect. She is ridiculously hairy, extremely stout, well built and fancy fronted. I absolutely loved this cow the moment I saw her out at the Ontario Junior show as a 2 year old. She was huge volumed, stout made, long bodied, perfect footed, perfect uddered and yet somehow still extremely elegant and feminine. She was without a doubt the very best Shorthorn cow I had ever laid eyes on at that time. It took a pile of convincing but somehow we got Jamie and Ellie to agree to sell 2/3’s of this cow in the Agribition sale where she then commanded a record breaking $45,000 for 2/3 interest. I was fortunate enough to be a buyer of one of those 1/3’s. Fast forward few years and some fortunate events led to Jamie and myself being able to buy out our other partner and secure this amazing female 50/50. She has now proven herself yet again and again, with her latest accomplishment being the dam of the 2024 Royal Grand Champion Female. Annie truly is a “Breed Leading” female.
