We wish to extend a warm thank you to our previous and future customers and welcome you to our 3rd Annual Online Bull & Heifer Sale. Although it has been a trying few years in the cattle industry, with feed shortages and drought, we are grateful for the support of fellow cattlemen and women from across the Peace Country and believe there are better days ahead. The true resilience of cattle families makes us proud to be part of this industry.

We raise our cattle keeping in mind, ease of handling and safety without jeopardizing the fundamentals; structure, growth potential, calving ease and fertility. We feel our commitment to halter breaking our bulls through hours of contact, will benefit your operation by producing predictable and profitable cattle.

We chose to visually heat detect in May and selectively choose semen for AI for each individual dam. A smaller operation allows us to forgo synchronizing our cattle. After a full cycle, dams are exposed to our reputable herd sires. This may stretch out our calving season but in the end, we believe we are producing more options for you, the customer.

All our calves are DNA verified, semen tested (prior to sale date) and are quite docile. We believe in gradual development of our bulls with sound forage and a supplemented ration. The animals have been groomed and hand fed around other livestock, including dogs and donkeys and are comfortable with people.

We would like to welcome Michelle & Sheldon Tissington as our guest consignor this year. Their 3 commercial heifers are from a bull purchased from us in 2021.

It gives us a great sense of confidence and satisfaction seeing our bull’s progency included in a sale such as this. The Tissingtons run a 3rd generation farming operation by Flying Shot Lake and are pioneers in our community. Their focus is commercial Limo cross cattle, breeding heifers back to Angus.

We have a great mix of sires this year with 5 different sires on 10 bulls. We believe we have something that will be a great addition to your herd and thank you for your continued support.

We were very fortunate to acquire some Red Fineline Mulberry 26P semen. This bull is a “breed legend worldwide known for his perfect uddered daughters and thick easy doing sons”. It’s not too often that a bull from the Peace Country like Van Gaalen’s makes it to stardom. Red LBL Mulberry 12B 3K is a deep bodied bull out of a moderate well milking mature cow, built for longevity. Donaldson Ranch purchased a 1/2 maternal brother to this bull and have been extremely pleased.
